  • Patent number: 6166845
Abstract: The present invention relates to a probe for an electro-optic sampling oscillator.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 25, 1999
Date of Patent: December 26, 2000
Assignees: Ando Electric Co., Ltd., Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation

  • Patent number: 6009712
Abstract: A temperature controller of an optical module package comprises an optical element and first thermistor fixedly held over a first Peltier element housed in an optical module package with a base interposed therebetween; a second thermistor housed in the optical module package; and a second Peltier element with the optical module package fixedly attached thereon with a mount interposed therebetween. While temperature control of the optical module package is achieved by monitoring the temperature of the optical module package with the second thermistor and controlling the second Peltier element, temperature control of the optical element is achieved by monitoring the temperature of the optical element with the first thermistor and controlling the first Peltier element. The temperature controller of the optical module package is impervious to the effect of open air temperature and capable of saving required space.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 23, 1998

  • Patent number: 5926593
Abstract: The invention provides an optocoupler having excellent characteristics whereby both polarization dependency and optical coupling loss can be minimized. A first optical fiber is formed such that an end face thereof is at a predetermined angle with the axis thereof. A first refraction index distribution lens converts light beams sent out from the first optical fiber into collimated light beams, and sends out the collimated light beams in a direction of directional cosine of the end face of the first optical fiber. A second refraction index distribution lens condenses the collimated light beams sent out from the first refraction index distribution lens. A second optical fiber is formed such that an end face thereof is at the predetermined angle with the axis thereof, and optically couples the light beams condensed by the second refraction index distribution lens on the end face thereof.

  • Patent number: 5887101
Abstract: A package for an optical module, having such a strong construction as to be able to prevent occurrence of warping due to a stress acting thereon, and capable of restraining displacement of an optical fiber fixedly attached to a pipe, and displacement of optical components mounted on a bottom plate so that misalignment of the optical axis is prevented.
