Publication number: 20240193531Abstract: A system and a method to create clusters in an area. The system comprises obtaining a plurality of location data points associated with a plurality of entities in an area. It may be noted that each location data point includes geographic coordinates. Further, the system comprises computing a range of location data points required in each cluster. Furthermore, the system comprises forming a farthest point cluster by determining a farthest location data point from a centroid based on an angular distance. Publication number: 20240126840Abstract: A system and a method to create clusters in an area are disclosed. Initially, a set of location data points associated with a plurality of user devices in an area and a defined block area are received. Further, a rectangular boundary is created by connecting a first reference point, a second reference point, a third reference point, and a fourth reference point identified based on a latitude and a longitude of each user device. Furthermore, a set of blocks are created by dividing the rectangular boundary based on the defined block area. The set of blocks are sorted based on a number of location data points present in each block. Subsequently, the set of blocks are reconfigured by determining a centroid of a plurality of location data points present in each block. Finally, a plurality of clusters is created in the area upon marking the reconfigured set of blocks.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 12, 2023Publication date: April 18, 2024Applicant: DISTA TECHNOLOGY PRIVATE LIMITEDInventors: Akshay Kumar SINGHAL, Deepak GARG, Nishant KUMAR, Shishir GOKHALE

Patent number: 11956808Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for managing scheduling requests (SRs) in a user equipment (UE) that supports a split data radio bearer (DRB). In some aspects, the UE may trigger a first SR for a first communication link and a second SR for a second communication link in response to determining that a first amount of data in the UE data buffer is greater than a first threshold. The UE may transmit the first SR to a first base station (BS) via the first communication link. Prior to transmission of the second SR, the UE may determine whether a second amount of data in the UE data buffer is less than a second threshold. The UE may cancel the second SR in response to the second amount of data in the UE data buffer being less than the second threshold.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 2021Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: QUALCOMM IncorporatedInventors: Akshay Kumar, Arnaud Meylan, Leena Zacharias, Michel Chauvin, Vishal Dalmiya, Ambarish Tripathi, Shailesh Maheshwari, Sathyanarayanan Raghunathan, Baojun Lu

Publication number: 20240111714Abstract: Direct Image Lookup (DIL) metadata is used to perform differential operation for snapshots and linked targets. Each snapshot contains metadata to store “images” to perform direct lookup of user data for any part of any snapshot in the system. Metadata pages of DIL image data represent sets of tracks of data. Metadata pages of subsequent snapshots for the same sets of tracks are compared, and where there are no changes to a given metadata page for a given set of tracks between subsequent snapshot copies, the differential process is not run on the tracks associated with the metadata page. If a given metadata page associated with a set of tracks has changed between subsequent snapshots, the differential process is used to identify which tracks in the subsequent snapshot contain different data than the corresponding tracks of the previous snapshot. Similar differential processing also is implemented for relinked target devices.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 30, 2022Publication date: April 4, 2024Inventors: Sandeep Chandrashekhara, Michael Ferrari, Gu Huang, Akshay Kumar Srivastava, Kevin Tobin

Publication number: 20240056976Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE). The UE starts a first timer (such as a discontinuous reception (DRX) hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) round-trip-time (RTT) timer), after sending an uplink (UL) data transmission to a network entity. The UE then starts a second timer (such as a DRX retransmission timer) when the first timer expires. The UE then determines whether to wake up or sleep for a duration of the second timer based on a prior block error rate (BLER).Type: ApplicationFiled: October 10, 2023Publication date: February 15, 2024Inventors: Leena ZACHARIAS, Arnaud MEYLAN, Reza SHAHIDI, Lan LAN, Qingxin CHEN, Farrukh RASHID, Zhibin DANG, Akshay KUMAR

Patent number: 11895638Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, such as a user equipment may identify a size capability for a buffer associated with a protocol layer of the UE. The buffer may be a layer two buffer and the protocol layer may be a layer two protocol layer. The UE may transmit, to a base station serving the UE, an indication of the identified size capability for the buffer. In some cases, the UE may transmit the indication of the identified size capability in a UE capability report in radio resource control signaling. The UE may then communicate, with the base station 105, data that is scheduled based on the transmitted indication.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 2021Date of Patent: February 6, 2024Assignee: QUALCOMM IncorporatedInventors: Arnaud Meylan, Akshay Kumar, Pulkit Hanswal, Shailesh Maheshwari, Arun Prasanth Balasubramanian

Publication number: 20230422066Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may communicate on a first set of carriers in a first frequency range (FR) and a second set of carriers in a second FR. The UE may detect a radio link control (RLC) discontinuity on at least one of the first set of carriers or the second set of carriers. The UE may identify one or more FRs, of the first FR and the second FR, in which the RLC discontinuity occurred. The UE may transmit an RLC status report based at least in part on the identified one or more FRs. Patent number: 11811671Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described to support entering a fast-negative acknowledgement (NACK) mode. A user equipment (UE) may enter a fast-NACK mode and may decrease a value of a respective timer for one or more wireless connections (e.g., may override the timer independently for each connection). The timer may be referred to as a retransmission request time duration. If configured with two or more component carriers (CCs), the UE may determine a value of the timer based on a location of a data hole within the two or more CCs. Based on entering the fast-NACK mode, the UE may override a configured timer for the respective wireless connection with a new, shorter timer. Based on expiration of the new timer, the UE may transmit an RLC NACK to a base station via the corresponding wireless connection.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 2021Date of Patent: November 7, 2023Assignee: QUALCOMM IncorporatedInventors: Akshay Kumar, Arnaud Meylan, Shailesh Maheshwari, Arun Prasanth Balasubramanian, Utpal Barman

Patent number: 11809151Abstract: Systems and methods for activity-based device recommendations are disclosed. For example, historical usage data associated with a device may indicate that the device is likely to be associated with a given state at a given time. When the device is not in the anticipated state, a recommendation to transition the device state, for example, may be sent. Additionally, a determination of the activity state associated with the device, such as an active state, an asleep state, and/or an away state may be utilized to determine the recommendation to surface, to determine whether to send a recommendation, and when and/or how to send the recommendation.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 2020Date of Patent: November 7, 2023Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Charles Edwin Ashton Brett, William Evan Welbourne, Hongyang Wang, Akshay Kumar, George Strajan
