  • Publication number: 20100087658
Abstract: Methods and intermediates for the synthesis of selective inhibitors of dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP-IV) are provided. Coupling of a carboxylate salt with a boro-proline derivative provides a protected form of a DPP-IV inhibitor, which may be deblocked to yield the medicinal compound. The carboxylate salt can be a crystalline form of a sodium salt or a dicyclohexylammonium salt. The inhibitor can be used in the treatment of diabetes.

  • Patent number: 7365178
Abstract: The present invention provides tagged acyl phosphate probes (“TAPPs”), and methods of their preparation and use. The subject methods and compositions can provide enhanced simplicity and accuracy in identifying changes in the presence, amount, or activity of target proteins in a complex protein mixture, preferably nucleotide binding proteins using nucleotide binding protein-directed TAPPs. The profiling methods described herein can have a number of steps leading to the identification of target nucleotide binding protein(s) in a complex protein mixture.

  • Publication number: 20080049341
Abstract: An optical film for use in transparent displays, such as reflective LCDs. The optical film has three-dimensional, prismatic structures that reflect incoming light. The prismatic structures are configured so that the reflecting facets orient the reflected light in desired reflective light pattern. The pattern shape and intensity can be controlled by the shape and dimensions of the various reflecting facets. In one embodiment, the height of the prismatic structure varies along two dimensions of the structure.

  • Publication number: 20070216748
Abstract: An imaging system comprises a laser source for emitting a beam, a photoconductive surface, a scanning device and a controller. The controller designates at least a first part and a second part of each line of image data, corresponding to a first part and a second part of each associated sweep of the beam. The laser source is modulated based upon the first part of the line of image data during the first part of a first one of the associated sweeps of the beam. The laser source is not modulated according to image data for the second part of the first one of the sweeps. During the first part of a second one of the associated sweeps of the beam, the laser source is not modulated based upon image data. However, the laser source is modulated based upon the second part of the line of image data during the second part of the second one of the sweeps.
