Publication number: 20150149196Abstract: An example method includes monitoring healthcare information employed by a local information system of a first healthcare entity via an edge device located at a facility of the first healthcare entity and in communication with a local information system. The edge device is to implement a local cloud system. The local cloud system is to be accessible by only the first healthcare entity and healthcare entities affiliated with the first healthcare entity. The example method also includes determining if the healthcare information has a first characteristic via the edge device, determining if the healthcare information has a second characteristic via the edge device, and automatically uploading the healthcare information onto the local cloud system if the healthcare information has the first characteristic. The example method also includes automatically uploading the healthcare information onto a remote cloud system if the healthcare information has the second characteristic.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 24, 2014Publication date: May 28, 2015Inventors: Nimrod Ohad, Mark Alan Cole, Mike Lowell Sharland, Ronen Gans, Patrick Leo Hughes

Publication number: 20150149210Abstract: An example method includes storing healthcare information related to a patient on the cloud-based clinical information system and determining if a first local information system of a first healthcare entity includes a first existing patient record associated with the patient. The example method also includes communicating a first command from the cloud-based clinical information system to an edge device located at a facility associated with the first healthcare entity and in communication with the first local information system. The edge device is to automatically attach a first portion of the healthcare information to the first existing patient record if the first local information system includes the first existing patient record or automatically generate a first new patient record to be populated by the first portion of the healthcare information if the first local information system does not include the first existing patient record based on the first command.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 24, 2014Publication date: May 28, 2015Inventors: Nimrod Ohad, Mark Alan Cole, Mike Lowell Sharland, Ronen Gans, Patrick Leo Hughes

Publication number: 20150149211Abstract: An example method includes receiving patient information in a cloud-based clinical information system from a first healthcare entity registered with the cloud-based clinical information system as a first entity type of a plurality of hierarchically organized entity types. The example method also includes storing a contractual agreement between the first healthcare entity and a second healthcare entity in the cloud-based clinical information system. The second healthcare entity is registered with the cloud-based clinical information as a second entity type of the plurality of entity types. The example method further includes enabling the second healthcare entity to access the patient information from the cloud-based clinical information system based on first access rules for the second healthcare entity.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 24, 2014Publication date: May 28, 2015Inventors: Nimrod Ohad, Mark Alan Cole, Mike Lowell Sharland, Ronen Gans, Patrick Leo Hughes, Todd McNitt

Publication number: 20120153654Abstract: Improvements in a forklift adapter to offer a way of double-stacking pallets by a single forklift operator, using an existing forklift equipped with single-double forks using existing forklift controls, which is both unique and superior to using two or three people to perform the same task manually. Double-stacking pallets are accomplished by placing a sheet of material on top of a first loaded pallet of material. The blades of the forklifts slide into rectangular tubes on the forklift adapter. Sheet material is gripped by a plurality of pins on the forklift adapter where the depth of the pins is adjustable. The forklift adapter utilizes a spring that provides the gripping force. Using a spring to provide to grip provides consistent force. The spring material, coils, spring force and spring length all have factors that can change the gripping force.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 16, 2010Publication date: June 21, 2012Inventor: JERRY ALAN COLE

Patent number: 8067246Abstract: A method and apparatus for use in a flow through assay process is disclosed. The method is characterised by a “pre-incubation step” in which the sample which is to be analyzed (typically for the presence of a particular protein), and a detection analyte (typically one or more antibodies bound to colloidal gold or a fluorescent tag) which is known to bind to the particular protein may bind together for a desired period of time. This pre-incubation step occurs before the mixture of sample and detection analyte come into contact with a capture analyte bound to a membrane. The provision of the pre-incubation step has the effect of both improving the sensitivity of the assay and reducing the volume of sample required for an assay. An apparatus for carrying out the method is disclosed defining a pre-incubation chamber for receiving the sample and detection analyte having a base defined by a membrane and a second membrane to which a capture analyte is bound.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 2010Date of Patent: November 29, 2011Assignee: Tyrian Diagnostics LimitedInventors: David Ian Marlborough, Andrew John Sloane, Robert Alan Cole, William Samuel Hunter

Publication number: 20110258302Abstract: A system and method for uniquely identifying computer and support infrastructure equipment in a rack and to determine the physical location of the equipment within the rack. In one embodiment, a set of communication ports is installed in the rack, with each communication port representing a physical rack location unit. The equipment is queried via the equipment's communication port, which is coupled to one of the communication ports in the rack. Equipment which does not support identification through some protocol has its identification information stored in an intelligent device which can be queried through the same set of communication ports. A management module collects the equipment information and location and aggregates the information for the entire rack. This information can then be queried by a remotely over the network.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 20, 2010Publication date: October 20, 2011Inventors: David Alan Cole, James Ward Goddard, Christopher Young
