  • Publication number: 20080017210
Abstract: A detachable interlocking hairpiece for attaching to existing hair to create the appearance of longer and or thicker hair. The detachable hairpiece includes two interlocking urethane coated hair clips for clipping to a wearer's hair. The clips have several predrilled holes for attaching natural or synthetic hair wefts in such way that the clip is substantially concealed by the supplemental hair strands when the clip is attached to the wearer's natural hair.

  • Publication number: 20070095253
Abstract: This disclosure relates to process for producing titanium dioxide (TiO2) pigments, comprising the following steps: a) oxidizing a mixture of titanium tetrahalide and a rutile forming agent, such as aluminum halide, present in the vapor phase and in the presence of a nucleant to form a gaseous suspension comprising titanium dioxide particles; b) passing the gaseous suspension to a cooling conduit; c) introducing scouring material into the cooling conduit; wherein the particles of the scouring material have a diameter in the range of about 0.25 mm to about 12.7 mm; d) separating the vapor phase to form a powder comprising the titanium dioxide particles and the scouring material; and e) simultaneously subjecting the powder to substantially uniform heating at a temperature of about 300° C. to about 600° C.

  • Publication number: 20040083226
Abstract: The present invention provides systems, methods and data structures for transmitting genealogical data across a transmission medium such as the Internet. The genealogical data is stored at a database maintained by a server and when a user requests the genealogical data for a particular pedigree chart, the server generates a data structure that is representative of the individuals in the pedigree chart. The data structure identifies the individuals in the pedigree chart by family relationships and does not contain any genealogical data. The data structure is next transmitted to a client where it is expanded to more fully represent the individuals in the pedigree chart. The expanded data structure not only defines the generations of the pedigree chart but also establishes a link between individuals in the same generation as well as between individuals in adjacent generations. Each individual is represented by a node. The pedigree chart, in the form of nodes, is displayed to a user.

  • Patent number: 6570567
Abstract: A system and method of displaying a pedigree chart are described. The system allows for the adjusting of the resolution of the pedigree chart on the display. For example, the amount of information regarding each individual, the font size of the text describing the individual, and the zoom of the pedigree chart may be altered. The display may also include another frame which shows a“hand print” of a selected individual in the pedigree chart. Hint information, conflict information, chronological sibling order, the end of ancestral lines, and descendant structure for individuals may also be clearly displayed.
