  • Patent number: 9880814
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards dynamically generating a plugin module based on a customizable catalog. A plurality of application features may be determined based on a catalog of available application features of a visitor computer. One or more templates may be generated that lists application features. A plugin client and a corresponding plugin core that include application features listed in the one or more templates may be generated. The plugin client may then be provided to the host computer and the corresponding plugin core may be installed on the visitor computer. Information that may be associated with actions performed by users of the plugin client may be obtained from the host computer. Application features included in the plugin core may be determined based on the information obtained from the host computer. And, operations may be performed on the visitor computer based on the obtained information and the plugin core.

  • Publication number: 20170231823
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and device for visualizing and treating an injury, wound or skin using a visual tourniquet and skin patch system made of transparent materials. The inventive bandage system is capable of applying pressure while absorbing bodily fluids away from the wound or skin and providing support for the application of one or more medicaments or a combination of treatment gas and/or medicine. The inventive bandage system enables the practitioner to visually inspect and measure the size of the wound over time without removing or touching the bandage or tourniquet thereby reducing pain and contamination of the wound bed. One embodiment of the inventive bandage system continuously controls the wound bed temperature thereby reducing pain and inhibiting bacterial growth. Other embodiments of the inventive bandage system are used as a visual tourniquet to apply a combination of pressures to a wound or skin.

  • Patent number: 9708835
Abstract: A gun lock for use in securing a weapon within a gun rack of a police vehicle or the like utilizes a housing supporting a pair of curved lock gates in curved travel paths between an abutting closed configuration and a separated open configuration. The curved lock gates are constrained in curved travel paths by a top plate and a lower plate and each define a curved gear rack. A coupling gear is rotatably supported within the housing and simultaneously engages both curved gear racks to provide movement of the lock gates between open and closed configuration. A solenoid operated latching mechanism secures the lock gates from movement away from the closed and locked configuration in the absence of an electrical activation. A key override is provided in the event of an electrical failure within the host vehicle.

  • Patent number: 9101486
Abstract: Various spinal implants and methods for stabilizing the spine are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a spinal implant is provided having an expandable container with an interior volume that is selectively expandable between a compressed condition and an expanded condition. The expandable container is coupled to a superior endplate member having a bone-contacting surface and an engagement surface effective to mate with a superior surface of the expandable container, and an inferior endplate member having a bone-contacting surface and an engagement surface effective to mate with an inferior surface of the expandable container. In addition, at least one inlet port is formed in the expandable container and is effective to communicate a fluid to at least one cavity disposed within the interior volume of the expandable container.

  • Patent number: 8939478
Abstract: A vehicle bumper for use with police and other emergency vehicles for pushing another vehicle which is fabricated of a tubular loop defining a generally oval cross-section. The oval cross-section tubular loop is oriented such that the major axis of the oval cross-section extends front to back with respect to the host vehicle while the minor axis extends up and down. The vehicle bumper further supports a plurality of resilient pads to aid in controlling the pushed vehicle and to cushion impact transfer between the bumper and the pushed vehicle. The inventive vehicle bumper is substantially stronger and substantially lighter in weight while simultaneously providing a more attractive front view cross-section when mounted on a host vehicle. A plurality of attachments are secured to the tubular loop and are used in securing the vehicle bumper to a suitable portion of a host vehicle.
