  • Publication number: 20090211034
Abstract: A firefighter pocket tool achieves its objectives by combining the functional features of several traditional tools (slip groove pliers of the curved jaw type, 6 in 1 screwdriver, spanner wrench, gas shut off tool and a striking tool) onto a shared single structure. The structure of the firefighter pocket tool comprises a pair of slip groove plier members each having a jaw portion, a joint portion and a handle portion, a pivotal bolt, nut and spring member. The upper jaw of the slip groove pliers is of the curved jaw type. Upon the “upper” rear portion of the pliers' “upper” jaw's head there is formed a protrusion that forms a striking surface and a hook and claw. The hook and claw is located so as to allow it to be used as a spanner for rocker lug type and similar fire hose couplings. As this same plier member crosses over the other plier member, it forms a plurality of arcuate adjustable channels with which the arcuate protuberance from the other plier member is engaged.

  • Publication number: 20080226702
Abstract: The extraction and use of residual opioids from transdermal dosage forms can be reduced by placement and fixation of used dosage forms onto a surface. The used dosage form can be fixed to the surface such that it cannot be removed without at least partially destroying the matrix containing the opioid, or such that the matrix containing the opioid is rendered at least partially inaccessible to opioid extraction methods. The disposal system for one or more opioid-containing transdermal delivery forms comprises at least one disposal surface for receiving the transdermal delivery form. The at least one disposal surface can comprise one or more structures for fixing a transdermal delivery form to the at least one surface. Alternatively, the transdermal delivery form comprises one or more structures for permanently fixing the transdermal delivery form to the surface. The disposal system can also be used for preventing or reducing diversion of opioids from transdermal delivery forms.

  • Patent number: 7073268
Abstract: A level includes a laser source for establishing one or more visually identifiable measurement and reading in a work environment or in combination with the use of a power tool. A power tool control system includes a non-contact measurement and alignment device operative with the power tool and enabled to establish various readings, such as power tool settings. A graphical user interface communicatively coupled with the level and/or the non-contact measurement and alignment device enables user control over and display of the readings from the level and/or the non-contact measurement and alignment device.

  • Patent number: 6893555
Abstract: A dual flow filter unit for the filtration of a pressurized liquid such as oil, comprising a closed housing (10) having an inlet (31), and main and secondary outlets (32, 13) for that liquid. The unit further comprises a main filter element (21) arranged in the housing (10) and having an unfiltered fluid surface exposed to the majority of the liquid flow, the flow through the main filter (21) being directed to the main outlet (32) from the housing (10); and a secondary filter element (17) exposed to a portion of the liquid flow supplied to the housing inlet (31), any flow through the secondary filter being directed to the secondary outlet (13) from the housing. The main filter element (21) offers a low resistance to the flow of fluid therethrough relative to the secondary filter element (17) so that the majority of the flow through the inlet (31) is filtered by the main filter element (21) and the remainder by the secondary filter element (17).

  • Patent number: 5715790
Abstract: A controller system is provided for controlling the power boost operation of an internal combustion engine by increasing fuelling, the controller means comprising a fuel controller for controlling the rate of fuel supplied to the engine and for supplying an increased rate of fuel in response to a power boost demand signal. The controller system further includes a first timer for measuring a first time period during which the power boost signal is supplied to the fuel controller, a comparator for supplying a prevent boost signal when the first time period exceeds a maximum boost time period, and a second timer for preventing the fuel controller from supplying the increased rate of fuel for a second time period in response to the prevent boost signal.

  • Patent number: 4113826
Abstract: A method of forming an injection moulded lining on a valve body comprises the step of defining a cavity having a main portion which when filled with lining material forms the desired lining, and an extension portion continuous with an edge of the main portion. Lining material is injected into the extension portion until the cavity is filled. Any sprues produced by the injection are on the tab formed by the material in the extension portion and not on the lining proper. Thus, there is no danger of damaging the lining as sprues are removed, and they do not cause local stress in the lining.
