  • Patent number: 8657162
Abstract: A recharge insert, for use with a spray dispenser device, is made of a matrix material impregnated with a chemical composition that is made dry-to-the-touch and is held in place by a porous three-dimensional polyethylene film that prevents direct skin contact, while allowing the chemical composition to be dissolved in solution with a diluent fluid such as water. When the spray bottle is filled with water, sealed, and shaken, the fluid penetrates into the matrix material, and the chemical composition becomes dissolved in solution, thereby creating a cleaning, sanitizing or disinfectant solution that will remain stable and fully active in use. The recharge insert may be engaged with an insert locating adapter as may be desired.

  • Patent number: 7708170
Abstract: A recharge sleeve for use with a spray dispenser device, made of a matrix comprises an absorptive material impregnated with a chemical composition that dissolves in solution created when the sleeve is contacted with a diluent fluid such as water. The recharge sleeve is elongated in shape with a center opening parallel to the long edges of the sleeve for mounting on the diptube of the spray dispenser device. A conically shaped retainer formed of rigid plastic is attached or provided for attachment to the lower end of the diptube for stabilizing the diptube and retaining the recharge sleeve clear of the bottom of the retainer after the sleeve has been applied to the diptube. When of the spray dispenser device is sealed and the spray dispenser device is shaken, the fluid penetrates into the matrix material, and the chemical composition dissolves in the fluid creating a cleaning, sanitizing, or disinfectant solution that will remain stable and fully active in use.

  • Publication number: 20080138327
Abstract: A substantially dry disposable device for creating ready-to-use solutions effective in cleaning and inhibiting the growth and formation of biofilms on surfaces and methods of manufacturing the same are disclosed. The device is impregnated with a concentrated formulation comprising a fermentation supernatant as obtained from the fermentation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, at least one non-ionic surfactant, at least one fragrance, at least one dye and at lest one preservative. The composition used in the impregnation is a stable, fairly viscous, dark amber solution that can readily be impregnated into a non-woven, dried and conveniently packaged and stored for subsequent use. It can then be lifted or immersed into water to reconstitute an appropriate use-dilution.
