  • Patent number: 10324494
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide techniques and configurations for an apparatus for detection of a change of electromagnetic field in response to a gesture, to identify the gesture that caused the field change. In one instance, the apparatus may include a first conducting component having first features for the disposal on or around a portion of a user's body, to generate an electromagnetic field in response to a receipt of a source signal. The apparatus may further include a second conducting component having second features for the disposal on or around a portion of the user's body, at a distance from the first conducting component, to provide an indication of a change in the electromagnetic field over time, to identify a change of a position of the user's body portion (gesture) that causes the change in the electromagnetic field. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

  • Publication number: 20180073731
Abstract: A burner cover for a gas burner includes a disk-shaped base segment, and an annular gas distribution segment which is connected to the base segment. The gas distribution segment has first gas distribution channels, which extend radially from an inner surface of the gas distribution segment toward an outer edge of the base segment. Each first gas distribution channel extends through the gas distribution segment and has a T-shaped cross-sectional geometry, which is open in a direction pointing away from the base segment.

  • Patent number: 9292015
Abstract: A method and a system of integrating a new robot into a work environment are provided. A controller receives a signal indicating a presence of a new robot in the work environment. The controller then establishes a negotiation channel between the controller and the new robot and begins to negotiate with the new robot a set of robotic functions controllable by the controller. Based on a comparison between a set of function attributes the new robot and interface attributes of the controller, the controller generates a new robot user interface for controlling the set of robotic functions of the new robot.

  • Publication number: 20150193594
Abstract: A system for improving patient compliance with a prescription drug regimen is described. The system includes a patient database for storing patient information, the information including contact information for a patient communication device (such as a telephone, cell phone, computer, or PDA) along with a method for communicating with that device. The system further includes an alert database for storing information about prescription reminder alerts to be sent to patients. A send program running on a computer retrieves information about prescription reminder alerts from the alert database and transmits the prescription reminder alerts to a patient communications device over a communications network using the contact information and contact method stored in the patient database.
