Abstract: A programmable modular protein architecture for RNA binding comprises a set of modules, derived from RNA-binding protein Pumilio, that can be concatenated into chains of varying composition and length. When bound into a chain, each module has a preferred affinity for a specific RNA base. The chains can bind arbitrary RNA sequences with high specificity and fidelity by varying the sequence of modules within the chains. Each module contains at least 6 amino acids, with the amino acids in positions 1 and 5 providing the preferred affinity for the specific base, and the amino acid at position 2 serving as a stacking unit between concatenated modules. The modules may have four canonic forms, each having a preferred affinity for a different base and characterized by the base with which it has affinity, the two amino acids that provide the affinity, and the amino acid that serves as a stacking unit.

Abstract: In one general aspect, a method can include determining that a display monitor is operatively connected to a display port included in an operating system (OS) dongle, identifying at least one peripheral device operatively connected to the OS dongle, receiving, by the OS dongle, an indication of requested content from the at least one peripheral device, and responsive to receiving the indication of the requested content, obtaining the requested content from a computer system remote from the OS dongle. The obtaining can include operatively connecting the OS dongle to a network. The network can be operatively interfaced to the computer system that includes the requested remote content. The method can include providing, by the OS dongle, the requested content to the display monitor using the display port.

The interest level is determined based on analysis of the content of each of the plurality of frames or how often other clients view the frames or take actions while viewing the frames. Frames are clustered and key frame locations are determined for each of the clusters. Key frames are given a higher buffering priority than non key frames. Buffering of key frames is prioritized based on key frame interest level. Key frames are also utilized to enable a client to skip forward or backward between key frames and view content that is likely to be of interest to the user.

Abstract: System and method for enabling proximity-triggered messaging in certain coverage areas for social networks and communities-based services. The system includes at least one local unit with cellular radio transceiver, located within a corresponding coverage area.
