  • Patent number: 11877292
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a resource configuration for communications with a base station on a multiple sets of resources across multiple component carriers, the resource configuration including at least a first set of resources on a first component carrier and a second set of resources on a second component carrier. The UE may receive, from the base station, a downlink control information (DCI) message on the first component carrier, the DCI message including a DCI format that controls the multiple of sets of resources across the plurality of component carriers. The UE may determine that the first set of resources and the second set of resources are one of activated or released based on a first indication in the DCI message.

  • Publication number: 20240015758
Abstract: According to some examples, a base station may allocate uplink and/or downlink resources (e.g., in the time domain, frequency domain, spatial domain) to user equipment (UEs), or groups of UEs, that are subsequently reallocated. For example, a base station may determine a reallocation of uplink resources and/or downlink resources, and may issue a cancellation indication or preemption indicator that may correspond to at least a portion of the previously allocated resources. UEs may be configured to monitor cancellation or preemption indicators based on received cancellation or preemption indicators, UEs may determine whether or not to proceed with an uplink transmission or downlink reception using their previously allocated resources. In some cases, rules for application of cancellation or preemption indicators may be identified by a UE and/or base station based on traffic prioritization and cancelation indication prioritization, based on types of scheduled reference signals to be transmitted by the UE, etc.

  • Patent number: 11864062
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a user equipment (UE) may receive a feedback configuration for providing feedback for downlink communications from a base station. Based on the feedback configuration, the UE may determine whether one or more feedback processes has a multicast-only configuration for multicast data communications, or a multicast-or-unicast configuration for either multicast data communications or unicast data communications. The UE may decode one or more transmissions associated with the one or more feedback processes based on the multicast-only or multicast-or-unicast configuration, and may determine a feedback codebook based on the multicast-only or multicast-or-unicast configuration of the one or more feedback processes. The UE may monitor for retransmissions of one or more multicast data communications based on the feedback process configuration.

  • Patent number: 11856641
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium are provided that improves power savings and reliability of communication for DRX/eDRX modes. A base station may receive an indication from a network entity that a UE is in a DRX/eDRX mode. The base station may configure a WUS mode for the UE corresponding to the DRX mode or the eDRX mode. A UE may receive the WUS mode from the base station. When a UE is configured for relaxed RRM measurements for a first cell and moves to a second cell that supports a relaxed RRM measurement, the UE may return to a regular RRM measurement for a time period. When a UE configured for a WUS mode for a first cell moves to a second cell that supports the WUS mode, the UE may return to the DRX mode or the eDRX mode without the WUS mode for a period of time.

  • Patent number: 11855685
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit uplink transmissions according to a frequency hopping pattern. The UE may identify that a first set of uplink transmissions are to be transmitted to a base station by a first set of resources (e.g., a first set of slots, a first set of frequency resources) as indicated by the frequency hopping pattern. The UE may further identify, based on the frequency hopping pattern, that a second set of uplink transmissions are to be transmitted to the base station by a second set of resources (e.g., a second set of slots, a second set of frequency resources). The first set of slots and the second set of slots may each include more than one slot. Additionally, the first and second set of resources may be within a same bandwidth part or in different bandwidth parts.

  • Patent number: 11843996
Abstract: A base station may transmit a multicast transmission to a group of user equipments (UEs) that are each configured with a group radio network temporary identifier (G-RNTI). The UEs may be configured to receive the transmission using the same modulation and coding scheme (MCS) and transport block size (TBS) such that the group of UEs may receive the same transmission. In particular, a UE may receive one or more configurations for multicast transmissions, each configuration associated with a G-RNTI. The UE may determine a MCS table for the G-RNTI. The UE may determine a TBS for a multicast transmission based on an overhead value for the G-RNTI. The UE may receive the multicast transmission based on the MCS table and the TBS.
