  • Publication number: 20170171933
Abstract: Techniques are described to allow a low-cost light fixture to produce light with a relatively high color rendering index (CRI) across a range of color temperatures. A rectified AC voltage may be provided to multiple groups of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) having characteristics related to a range of color temperatures and a target CRI level. The multiple groups of LEDs may be controlled based on a received control signal, such that the combined groups of LEDs produce combined light having a produced color temperature within the range of color temperatures, and having a produced CRI level that is approximately the target CRI level. In some implementations, the received control signal is modified by a modification circuit, and the multiple groups of LEDs may be controlled based on the modified control signal.

  • Publication number: 20170160505
Abstract: Fiber optic equipment that supports independently translatable fiber optic modules and/or fiber optic equipment trays containing one or more fiber optic modules is disclosed. In some embodiments, one or more fiber optic modules are disposed in a plurality of independently translatable fiber optic equipment trays which are received in a tray guide system. In this manner, each fiber optic equipment tray is independently translatable within the guide system. One or more fiber optic modules may also be disposed in one or more module guides disposed in the fiber optic equipment trays to allow each fiber optic module to translate independently of other fiber optic modules in the same fiber optic equipment tray. In other embodiments, a plurality of fiber optic modules are disposed in a module guide system disposed in the fiber optic equipment that translate independently of other fiber optic modules disposed within the module guide system.

  • Patent number: 9665289
Abstract: Techniques are described for processing signal information from a high speed communication bus. The techniques include determining spatial regions on an eye by sampling a plurality of time and voltage points to determine a two-dimensional matrix. Then, the points are assigned a numerical value from combined time and voltage functions based upon a distance from eye edges (e.g., minimum setup time requirement and minimum hold time requirement along the time dimension). Sampling to generate the matrix may comprise selecting an initial point, splitting a first margin along a first dimension into equally spaced regions, and then sampling a second margin along a second dimension into equally spaced regions. Determining the points is based on shifting a strobe signal (DQS) position and a data signal (DQ) position and running a plurality of memory built-in self test (BIST) engines and a plurality of results of BIST tests.

  • Publication number: 20160304200
Abstract: A fumigation device suitable for agricultural purposes, using aerodynamic hovering without touching the ground, which operates autonomously or under the supervision of a remote operator, comprising at least four rotors individually operated through energy generating devices, with a constant rotor speed, being the only control variable for the whole flight steering. Since the device only operates in ground effect, it is fair to say that it is not exactly an airplane; in addition, it does not carry crew, and it only operates within rural areas as other agricultural machines, being able to be transported on a trailer; therefore, it would operate outside the rule of aeronautic regulations. It has full redundancy of systems both for thrust and control.

  • Patent number: 9210783
Abstract: An electronic ballast and startup method including an electronic ballast operably connected to a lamp having a lamp filament, the electronic ballast having a timer (110) generating an inverter control signal (112) and a preheat control signal (114); a converter (120) receiving AC power and generating DC power (122); a self-oscillating inverter (130) receiving DC power (122) and being operable to provide lamp power (132) to the lamp, the self-oscillating inverter (130) being responsive to the inverter control signal (112); and a filament preheater (140) receiving DC power (122) and being operable to provide filament power (142) to the lamp filament, the filament preheater (140) being responsive to the preheat control signal (114). When AC power is initially applied, preheat control signal (114) directs the filament preheater (140) to provide filament power (142), and inverter control signal (112) directs the self-oscillating inverter (130) not to provide lamp power (132).
