  • Publication number: 20080051707
Abstract: An apparatus includes a support member and a knob, each having an engagement portion. The support member is coupled to a shaft of a catheter assembly. The knob is configured to engage a stylet of the catheter assembly. The knob is configured to rotate relative to the support member through multiple discrete increments when the engagement portion of the knob is engaged with the engagement portion of the support member. Each discrete increment can be, for example, less than one revolution (e.g., thirty degrees of rotation).

  • Publication number: 20080037224
Abstract: A heat sink has a heat-dissipating portion and a contact portion for contacting an electric device generating heat. The diameter of the contact portion is smaller than that of the heat-dissipating portion. The heat-dissipating portion has a plurality of fins. The contact portion is disposed on a bottom surface of the heat-dissipating and formed with the heat-dissipating portion as a single unitary member. The contact portion includes a first axial cross section and a second axial cross section. The first axial cross section is away from the heat-dissipating portion, and the second axial cross section is near the heat-dissipating portion. The diameter of the first axial cross section is larger than that of the second axial cross section.

  • Publication number: 20070106315
Abstract: A device and method for creating a connection with the left ventricle of a heart are provided. A seal member capable of moving between a folded position and an open position is attached to the end of a conduit. An introducer capable of moving between a first and second position allows for the expansion of the seal member into an open position. A clamp component is positioned outside of the heart to provide an axial clamping force with the wall of the heart so that a seal is created between the seal member and the wall of the heart.

  • Publication number: 20060219386
Abstract: A heat dissipating assembly includes a fan and a composite heat dissipating structure. The composite heat dissipating structure includes a first heat sink and a second heat sink disposed adjacent to the first heat sink. The first and the second heat sinks include a plurality of first fins and a plurality of second fins respectively. The arrangement of the first fins is different from that of the second fins so as to flexibly regulate heat dissipation. Also, the fan dissipates heat accumulated in the composite heat dissipating structure and facilitates heat transmitted by the composite heat dissipating structure to dissipate more efficiently.
