  • Patent number: 9697154
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing message signaled interrupts in virtualized computer systems. An example method may comprise: intercepting, by a hypervisor running on a host computer system, a memory read operation initiated by a virtual machine with respect to a first interrupt mapping table, the first interrupt mapping table stored by a physical device associated with the virtual machine, the memory read operation specifying an offset relative to a base address of the first interrupt mapping table; reading at least part of the first interrupt mapping table; and returning, to the virtual machine, a value referenced by the offset within a second interrupt mapping table, the second interrupt mapping table residing in a memory of the host computer system.

  • Publication number: 20170165542
Abstract: A lightweight compression molded multicolor golf grip having at least a first section and a second section of differing colors and composed of elastomer compounds having a density of less than 0.90 g/cc, and joined by cross-linking across a sharply defined cross-color interface having an interface transition zone beyond which there is no mixing of the colors. The grip has a soft feel and unique compression characteristics achieved in some embodiments through the controlled use of an expanding blowing agent in a rubber compound including an EPDM mixture. Achieving the sharply defined cross-color interface is due in part to the use of complementary geometries at opposing interface edges to increase the stability of the interface and reduce the flow during molding associated with the increased viscosity of low density rubber compounds, promote cross-linking of the sections, and better distribute and control the consolidation pressure.

  • Publication number: 20160019217
Abstract: Large media libraries containing songs, movies, or images, can be organized as a graphical media map. Depending on the contents of a particular large media library, the media map can have empty cells that do not correspond to a media item in the media library. To fill these cells with meaningful recommendations based on media items that are already in the library, a recommendation system provides a recommendation of a media item for a particular cell based on the media items corresponding to cells proximate to the cell. The recommendation is generated using metadata tags describing the nearby media items and media items that are not currently part of the media library. The recommendations can be updated based on changes made to the media map.

  • Publication number: 20160004738
Abstract: Libraries containing numerous media items such as movies, music, and still images can be difficult to organize in a meaningful and accessible way. To more efficiently and aesthetically organize media items in a library, media maps are generated from hierarchical trees. The media maps are displayed to a user via a user display device. The user can quickly navigate through the media maps to discover connections and similarities between media items previously unknown to the user. The user can further make changes to the media map by interacting with the media map via a user interface. The media map is then re-generated to reflect the changes made by the user. The user can thus personalize the automatically generated media map to reflect his own media preferences and opinions.

  • Publication number: 20150268932
Abstract: Increasingly, large libraries of digital media items such as music, movies, and images are maintained. One way to consume the media items is via playlists. Playlists are an ordered list of some of the media items according to a theme or a progression from one theme to another theme. Systems and methods described herein allow a user to request generation of a playlist via a media map of the media library. The request can be in a variety of forms including: an identification of a region, identifications of starting and ending points, identification of a defined area of the media map, a gesture identifying a path through the media map, and an identification of a metadata tag associated with some of the media items within the media library. Further, branching playlists can be generated from a currently presented media item, which may itself be from a generated playlist.

  • Patent number: 9043789
Abstract: Methods and systems for managing a removal of a passthrough device from a guest managed by a hypervisor in virtualized computing environment. A hypervisor receives a request from the guest for access to a passthrough device. The hypervisor sets, in a memory, a last accessed state associated with a virtual machine executing the guest. The hypervisor forwards the request to the passthrough device and configures the host CPU to send a subsequent access request directly to the passthrough device. In response to a virtual machine reset, the hypervisor clears the last accessed state and instructs the host CPU to send a post-reset access request to the hypervisor.

  • Publication number: 20150096644
Abstract: An oil pourer includes a spout shell that is configured to be connected with a bottle of culinary oil and a collapsible funnel section connected with the spout shell and moveable with respect to the spout shell between an open position and a closed position. When the funnel section is in the open position, the funnel section and the spout shell define an oil-filling opening. When the funnel section is in the closed position, the funnel section seals against the spout shell to close the oil-filling opening. A method of using an oil pourer is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8856788
Abstract: Methods and systems for managing a removal of a device from a guest managed by a hypervisor in virtualized computing environment. A hypervisor maintains in a memory a last accessed state associated with a virtual machine executing a guest. • Patent number: 8749481
Abstract: A method for improving video quality of a video stream. The method decodes the video stream and generates subblocks of video data from the video stream. The method then removes effects of subblock boundaries from previous deblocking. Each subblock is then smoothed to create pixel values and optionally, subblocks are merged if a predetermined quality is not achieved from the smoothing analysis. The pixels values are filled into each pixel position in the subblock. The subblocks are deblocked and then at least one subblock is outputted to a rendering device.
