  • Patent number: 6377808
Abstract: A controller in a communication device receives a request, from a process operating in the communication device, to subscribe to a data routing service that is managed by the controller. In response to the request, the controller assigns a destination identifier to the process and adds the process and the assigned destination identifier to a routing table that is stored in a memory associated with the controller. Data subsequently received from a data source is routed to the process or to one of multiple communication ports by the controller by reference to the destination identifier, or the absence of a destination identifier, stored in the routing table.

  • Patent number: 6091653
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of sensing data in a semiconductor device. First, an equalizing instructing signal is provided to stop precharging and equalizing the bit line pair while in a reading state. Then a wordline is selected to transmit the data in a memory cell to one of the pair of bit lines for obtaining a potential difference between the bit line pair. A sensing enable signal is subsequently provided to activate the shared sense amplifier for sensing and amplifying the data. And a potential level of the selecting control signal is boosted to a boosted potential level to restore and read the data by delaying a predetermined period of time.

  • Patent number: 5777368
Abstract: An electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection device includes a drain region and a source region, each having a heavily-doped region and a lightly-doped region, wherein the junction depth of the lightly-doped region is deeper than that of the heavily doped region. Accordingly, the ESD current density will be decreased owing to the enlarged junction area during the ESD event. In addition, the heat dissipation can be spread over the enlarged junction area instead of being focused on the drain cylindrical edge. Moreover, low parasitic capacitance in the bond pad is achieved because the junction capacitance of the lightly-doped region is smaller than that of the heavily-doped region. Furthermore, conducting blocks are arranged between the lightly-doped regions and the source/drain electrodes, respectively, to prevent the metal melt filament from spiking the junction.

  • Patent number: 5772025
Abstract: A buffering pad for device packages is provided. The buffering pad is composed of a main member, a pair of lateral supporting members, and at least one protection member. The main member and the lateral supporting members are each formed by folding an integral piece of cardboard. At least one buckling piece is integrally formed either on the main member or on the lateral supporting member for fastening the protection member to the main member. Alternatively, a supporting glove is used to fasten the protection member to the main member. The protection member is a substantially U-shaped block which provides support and enforcement to the portion where it is fastened to.

  • Patent number: 5676283
Abstract: A vertical pushing device for a perfume sprayer having a base member, a motor connected to the base member, an eccentric gear linked to the motor, a sliding block connected to a guide rail to the base, a switch member connected to the motor and interactive with a movement of a push board of the sliding block, and a controller for actuating the motor in response to signals from the switch. The push board of the sliding block contacts the nozzle of the perfume cannister so as to dispense perfume relative to a movement of the sliding block. The sliding block has a long hole which receives the eccentric gear therein.
