  • Publication number: 20120263896
Abstract: The invention relates to molded functional bodies made of highly thermally conductive materials, namely aluminum nitride, to a method for the production thereof by way of extrusion, and to the use thereof.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 2, 2010
    Publication date: October 18, 2012

  • Publication number: 20120262059
Abstract: A lamp for receiving at least one light emitting diode as a light-emitting means, having a bottom part as a supporting element and for feeding the electric connecting wires to a mounting device carrying the at least one light emitting diode, and having a lamp shade. The mounting device is a separate mounting substrate having a breaking strength between 100 and 1,000 MPa and is arranged on the bottom of the device.

  • Publication number: 20120223344
Abstract: Ceramic diode carriers (10) comprising a ceramic carrier body (2) integrally connected to ceramic cooling elements (7) dissipating heat, wherein sintered metallization regions (41) are disposed as conductors on the surface (3) of the carrier body (2). LEDs (13) can be fastened to the diode carrier (10), the electrical connections thereof being electrically connectable to the conductors. In order to produce luminous bodies from ceramic diode carriers (10), at least two identical ceramic diode carriers (10) are connected into an array.

  • Publication number: 20100320249
Abstract: A method for producing a component, wherein according to the method on at least one surface side of the component at least one parting or predetermined breaking line is produced in that first, in a thermal treatment or procedural step, the parting or predetermined braking line is locally heated by energy input, and then is abruptly cooled by means of a cooling medium such that in the component this temperature fluctuation brings about a targeted crack formation or material weakening along the parting or predetermined breaking line.
    Type: Application
    Filed: February 27, 2008
    Publication date: December 23, 2010
Inventors: Claus Peter Kluge, Alexander Dohn, Michael Hemerle
  • Patent number: 5955840
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for phototherapy or tanning of the human body utilizes energy most efficiently by generating incoherent excimer radiation in the wavelength bands of between 300 and 310 nm, preferably about 308 nm, and from 315 to 350 nm. A discharge space (4) is defined by a discharge vessel (3) of radiation transmissive dielectric material. A first electrode (5), preferably a mesh or a net jacket, surrounds the wall of the discharge vessel; a second electrode (7) covered by a second dielectric (8) is coaxially located within the discharge vessel. A fill of xenon halide, preferably xenon chloride with a cold-fill pressure of about 500 to 1,500 mbar is located within a discharge space (4). A voltage source (15) is connected to said first and second electrodes.
