  • Patent number: 7300007
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to create a compact circulating grinding plant comprising a product bed comminution roller mill or roller press and a sifter device, in which the problem of mechanically transporting the grinding product that is directed through the circuit is minimized. Said aim is achieved by a circulating grinding plant in which a static cascade sifter is disposed below the gap of the roller press while a subsequent sifter, particularly a dynamic rod basket sifter, is disposed above said roller press. The sifting product discharge area of the static cascade sifter is connected to the sifting air and sifting product inlet of the subsequent sifter via an ascending duct which pneumatically conveys the product.

Date of Patent: November 27, 2007
    Assignee: KHD Humboldt Wedag GmbH
Inventors: Alexander Hagedorn, Frank Fischer-Helwig, Christian Splinter, Meinhard Frangenberg

  • Patent number: 6655617
Abstract: A simply and compactly built drive system for a tube mill is provided whose force transmission is no longer threatened by flexures and other deformations of the grinding tube. A one-piece ring gear having a diameter less than or equal to the diameter of the grinding tube is attached to the small diameter end of a discharge cone of the grinding tube.

  • Patent number: 6467967
Abstract: A shoe bearing for a heavy rotary drum such as a cylindrical casing of a tube mill designed so that all the shoe bearing elements used at each bearing station are always uniformly loaded. One of the two outlying shoe bearing elements (11) is braced directly against the foundation (16) while the other shoe bearing elements (12, 13, 14) of the bearing station are supported on a flexible support cable (17).

  • Patent number: 6299081
Abstract: To construct a tube mill such that a simple and compact circulation grinding system can be created therewith, with little outlay in terms of machinery, that can also manage higher stock circulation rates without high operating costs, a tube mill is disclosed whose drop-delivery housing consists of two spaced stationary non-rotating side faces, between which a rotatably mounted material conveyor ring is arranged, which can be rotated; whereby a sifting space with a dynamic sifter and/or a static sifter is integrated in this so constructed drop-delivery housing.

  • Patent number: 6203202
Abstract: In order to monitor the function of the sliding block bearing elements in view of the hydrostatically and/or hydrodynamically generated compressed oil film or, respectively, compressed oil cushion, given rotating drums seated on sliding blocks such as, for example, tube mills, and to control the operation in conformity with the result of the monitoring, it is inventively proposed that the lubricating gap thickness, i.e., the distance between the bearing surface of the sliding bearing shoe and the running surface of the rotating drum supported thereon via the lubricating gap or, respectively, the compressed oil film, is directly measured during operation and the rotating drum operation is controlled dependent on this measured quantity.

  • Patent number: 6186019
Abstract: The pinion (10) on the pin shaft (11) and/or the pinion shaft bearings to either side of the pinion and/or the pinion shaft pillow blocks (12, 13) are supported by elastically deformable components (15, 16, 22, 23) so as to automatically adapt radially in an elastically compliant manner to variations in the meshing of the pinion with the rim gear on the driven rotary drum of a tube mill or the like.
