  • Publication number: 20240095392
Abstract: A differentially private security system communicatively coupled to a database storing restricted data receives a database query from a client. The database query includes an operation, a target accuracy, and a maximum privacy spend for the query. The system performs the operation to produce a result, then injects the result with noise sampled from a Laplace distribution to produce a differentially private result. The system iteratively calibrates the noise value of the differentially private result using a secondary distribution different from the Laplace distribution and a new fractional privacy spend. The system ceases to iterate when an iteration uses the maximum privacy spend or a relative error of the differentially private result is determined to satisfy the target accuracy, or both. The system sends the differentially private result to the client.

  • Publication number: 20240086468
Abstract: The system is configured to create a generalized document automation framework that captures relevant data from documents based upon replicating historical human actions associated with a document. The system may use machine vision and natural language processing to match a new document to a document that was already human extracted in an existing corpus. This is accomplished by comparing both visual elements and textual elements. This match can be verified by statistical approaches by comparing the match metrics across multiple documents. After the match has been found and verified, the system then uses the historical extractions from the historical document and maps the extractions to similar regions in the new document based upon again both visual and text commonalities between documents. Data is then extracted from these regions of interest in the new document, sanity checked for data integrity against historical data, and then passed downstream for processing.

  • Publication number: 20240089679
Abstract: Treatment actions can be taken based on an analysis of the ability of a recipient of an auditory prosthesis to perceive musical activities. The occurrence of musical activities and the recipient's response thereto can be determined based on transducers. The recipient's musical perception can be determined by analyzing the signals from the transducers as stand-alone measures or by comparing the signals against known music. The treatment actions can relate to the treatment of a hearing-impairment of the recipient of the auditory prosthesis, such as by modifying the settings of the auditory prosthesis to affect the ongoing operation of the auditory prosthesis.

  • Patent number: 11914621
Abstract: An association metric for record attributes associated with cardinalities that are not necessarily the same is used for training and/or applying an entity resolution (ER) model. A pair of records includes (a) a first record indicating a first set of values for a first attribute and (b) a second record indicating a second set of values for a second attribute. Each of the first set of values and each of the second set of values are compared to determine individual association metrics. A first-level reduction operation is applied to subsets of the individual association metrics to determine reduced association metrics. A second-level reduction operation is applied to the reduced association metrics to determine an association metric, for the pair of records, for training and/or applying an ER model.

  • Publication number: 20240061690
Abstract: A computer-implemented method according to one embodiment includes embedding natural language processing (NLP) and/or user action capture into a browser to monitor a user's intent when navigating web page(s) within the browser. An indication of a navigation to a first web page via the browser is received and it is determined whether a first action attempted to be taken on the first web page matches the user's intent. In response to a determination that the first action attempted to be taken on the first web page does not match the user's intent, an intent-based blocking action is issued to prevent the first action on the first web page. A computer program product according to another embodiment includes a computer readable storage medium having program instructions embodied therewith. The program instructions are readable and/or executable by a computer to cause the computer to perform the foregoing method.
