  • Patent number: 10248393
Abstract: A system and method is provided for generating a dynamic, user interface that is capable of frequently changing and learning to provide the most relevant information to the user. The method includes executing a plurality of user interface (UI) modules on a computing device. Each UI module is a software component that provides content for display in the user interface. Each UI module determines its own content and its own priority level and bids for user interface space using its determined priority level. A UI controller is executed on the computing device. The UI controller is a software component that receives bids for the UI modules, determines the number of available spots for UI modules in the user interface, and selects UI modules associated with the highest priority for display in the available user interface spots.

  • Patent number: 10245984
Abstract: A seat system for a vehicle includes a seat having a seat bottom on which a person can sit. An intermediate support structure is secured to the seat and the vehicle which allows the seat to rotate relative to the vehicle. An actuator can interact with the seat to cause the seat to rotate relative to the vehicle. One or more sensors can each measure an aspect of motion. A processor can (i) receive input from each of the one or more sensors, (ii) determine from this input a measure of rotation of the vehicle away from a nominal, level horizontal orientation, and (iii) utilize the input to determine a desired rotation of the seat. An angle that the seat has been rotated away from a nominal, level orientation is more than insubstantially larger than an angle that the vehicle has rotated away from a nominal, level horizontal orientation.

  • Patent number: 10251297
Abstract: A cover of a housing for an electronic control unit (ECU) includes a planar end portion, sidewall portions that surround a periphery of the end portion, and guide ribs that protrude inward from a base-facing surface of the end portion. Each rib includes a free edge that is spaced apart from the base-facing surface of the end portion and extends between the rib first end and the rib second end. The free edge height varies between the rib first and second ends such that the free edge follows a curvilinear path between the rib first and second ends. The free edge is configured so that, during insertion of a printed circuit board (PCB) of the ECU into the housing, the angular orientation of the PCB relative to housing changes as the PCB slides along the free edge whereby interference between the PCB and the housing during insertion is avoided.
