If a higher layer parameter altMCS-Table is configured, and a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) is assigned by a downlink control information (DCI) format 1, 1B, 1D, 2, 2A, 2B, 2C, or 2D, the UE may, for some subframe/frame configurations, determine a number of physical resource blocks (PRBs) for the transport block as a maximum of: 1; and a floor function applied to a product of a total number of allocated PRBs, a parameter dependent on a special subframe configuration, and a scaling parameter. For other subframe/frame configurations, the UE may determine the number of PRBs for the transport block as a maximum of: 1; and the floor function applied to a product of the total number of allocated PRBs and the scaling parameter.

A UE receives a beam management processes configuration that provides information about beam management reference signals for beam management procedures. The UE transmits a UE capability report that indicates beam management capabilities of the UE and, later, an indication of whether the UE intends to engage in beam refinement. The UE measures the beam management reference signals and receives a beam reporting message that indicates at least one of the beam management procedures to report. In response, the UE transmits the beam report. The beam report contains beam management reference signal measurements of the beam management procedures indicated by the beam reporting message.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure describe apparatuses, methods and machine-readable storage medium for Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) measurement and allocation of Downlink (DL) transmission resources. A user equipment (UE) may detect a first Synchronization Signal/Physical Broadcast Channel (SS/PBCH) block, and determine a subcarrier spacing (SCS) thereof. Mapping the first SS/PBCH block to OFDM symbols may be dependent on the SCS and a first SS/PBCH block index of the first SS/PBCH block. The UE may determine, based on the first SS/PBCH block and the SCS, a number of symbols of the slot or the slot pair for a CORESET for reception of a DL control channel associated with Remaining Minimum System Information (RMSI). The UE may decode the DL control channel in the CORESET. The DL control channel may be configured to indicate a DL data channel carrying the RMSI associated with the first SS/PBCH block.

    Abstract: An apparatus and system to compensate for phase noise in a 5G or 6G DFT-S-OFDM signal are described. An access port (AP)-specific orthogonal cover code (OCC) is applied to phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) symbols in each of a plurality of PTRS groups. The PTRS group are inserted between data symbols to form a data vector prior to perform transform precoding, on the data vector and transmission to a UE. The UE extracts the PTRS symbols from different PTRS APs using the OCC specific to each AP. After extraction, the phase noise for each PTRS group is estimated and used to compensate the data symbols associated with the PTRS group.
