The apparatus comprises one or more processors configured to configure partial spatial reference information associated with at least one sounding reference signal (SRS) resource set of one or more SRS resource sets associated with a user equipment (UE), that forms a select SRS resource set. In some embodiments, the partial spatial reference information comprises information on a partial spatial reference resource configured for one or more SRS resources associated with the select SRS resource set, to be utilized by the UE to generate one or more SRS transmit beam patterns for transmitting the one or more SRS resources, respectively, such that the one or more SRS transmit beam patterns are in a spatial neighborhood of a beam pattern associated with the configured partial spatial reference resource.

    Abstract: Techniques discussed herein can facilitate determination of spatial (and/or beam) assumption(s) for PDSCH (Physical Downlink Shared Channel) transmitted after a BFR (Beam Failure Recovery) request but before TCI (Transmission Configuration Information) reconfiguration. One example embodiment can be an apparatus configured to: generate a BFR request that indicates a new candidate beam; process a CORESET (Control Resource Set)-BFR of a set of configured CORESETs, wherein the CORESET-BFR comprises a response to the BFR request; determine a spatial assumption for a first PDSCH based on the BFR request, wherein the first PDSCH is scheduled by a first CORESET of the set of configured CORESETs, wherein the first CORESET is different than the CORESET-BFR, wherein the first PDSCH is scheduled before a TCI state is one of reconfigured, reactivated, or re-indicated; and process the first PDSCH based on the determined spatial assumption for the first PDSCH.

    Abstract: User equipment (UE), an enhanced NodeB (eNB) and method of reducing handover latency are generally described. The UE may transmit measurement feedback to the eNB based on control signals. The UE may receive a reconfiguration message from the eNB or another eNB to the UE is attached. The reconfiguration message may contain reconfiguration information indicating whether or not a physical layer or layer 2 of the UE is to be reconfigured and/or a security key is to be updated. The reconfiguration information may be dependent on whether the handover is between eNBs controlled by a same entity and/or whether the handover comprises an intra-frequency transition. The UE or eNB may initiate handover of the UE. During handover the UE may avoid physical layer or layer 2 reconfiguration or the security key update. The security key and data for the UE may be provided directly between the eNBs.

The UE can determine a number of assigned resource elements (REs) in one or more symbols for a transport block. The UE can determine a reference number of REs per physical resource block (PRB) in the transport block based on a reference number of REs for the transport block corresponding to each PRB and an assigned number of PRBs for the transport block. The UE can determine a TBS for the transport block based at least on the reference number of REs per PRB in the transport block. The UE can encode information in a selected transport block for transmission via a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) to a Next Generation NodeB (gNB) in accordance with the TBS determined at the UE.

The UE may receive reference signals based on the DL set associated with the eNB and determine a timing/frequency offset based on the reference signals. The offsets may be used to decode a dynamically switched PDSCH indicated by a PDCCH. The DL sets may indicate which PDCCH to detect or the PDCCH from the same cNB may be used and the PDSCH determined from a DCI in the PDCCH. A UL DCI may indicate which of UL parameter sets to use. The UL sets may indicate a reference signal to determine path loss and a timing advance value.
