  • Publication number: 20240067296
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating a virtual torque for an electric motor of a motorcycle. One method includes detecting a position of a drive torque control included in the motorcycle, detecting a position of a regenerative brake control included in the motorcycle, mapping the detected position of the drive torque control to a requested driving torque, mapping the position of the regenerative brake control to a requested braking torque, determining, with an electronic control unit, a torque command based on the requested driving torque and the requested torque, and transmitting the torque command to an electric motor included in the motorcycle.

  • Publication number: 20230329582
Abstract: A sensor pad is adapted to be positioned atop or under a mattress of a patient's bed or chair, as part of a monitoring system that provides a signal to a caregiver when the patient rises from the bed, which can be used for multiple patients. The under-mattress sensor pads can be used for a long period of time as the under-mattress sensor pads includes a relatively stiff material. The under-mattress sensor pads can functionally couple to corded and wireless monitoring systems regardless of manufacturer. The under-mattress sensor pads can also be adapted to provide multiple alarm functions, which may be selectable by user operation.

  • Patent number: 11412996
Abstract: A sensor pad (105) is adapted to be positioned under or atop a mattress of a patients bed (205) as part of a monitoring system that provides a signal to a caregiver when the patient (305) rises from the bed (205). The pad (105) defines a total area, and wherein the total area is divided into a plurality of zones (Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5). A timing of issuance of an alarm triggered by the pad (105) varies based upon which zone (Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5) of the pad (105) a patient (305) is detected to be located upon.

  • Patent number: 11147477
Abstract: A sensor bed pad has a plurality of layers including an outermost layer made of a flexible material and a pair of inner layers, wherein each inner layer has an electrically conductive material thereon. A central layer is positioned between the pair of inner layers, wherein the inner layers are made of cloth, and wherein the central layer has a plurality of openings extending therethrough. The electrical conductive material of one of the inner layers contacts the electrical conductive material of the other inner layer through the openings in the central layer when a force is applied to the sensor bed pad to complete an electrical circuit between the inner layers.

  • Patent number: 10614460
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention directed to systems and methods that allow for determining a transaction initiation mode used to conduct a transaction and applying a specific set of rules associated with the transaction initiation mode to the transaction. A transaction authorization request message is received at a server computer. The transaction authorization message is for a transaction between a consumer and a merchant and includes a plurality of data elements. The server computer determines a transaction initiation mode, from among at least three different transaction initiation modes, used to conduct the transaction based at least in part on the data elements. The server computer applies a specific set of rules associated with the transaction initiation mode to the transaction.

  • Patent number: 10602793
Abstract: An anti-concussion helmet attachment collar assembly includes a cowl body attached to a curved helmet attachment ring segment at its upper end, and to a cowl support ring at its lower end. A circular rolling element bearing is interposed between the bottom of the cowl support ring and the interior shoulder of an underlying central ring, facilitating rotation of the cowl support ring with respect to the central ring. A modified helmet incorporates a flange with keyhole openings coupleable with standoff rivets on the helmet attachment ring segment. A base attached to equipment, such as football shoulder pads, is configured to selectively couple with the central ring during use.

  • Publication number: 20150305620
Abstract: A self-contained, wireless patient monitoring pad has wireless communication components, such as a transceiver, and a power source, such as a battery, which are built in during manufacture of the self-contained, wireless patient monitoring pad. The self-contained, wireless patient monitoring pad communicates with a patient monitoring system that can include a central monitoring point. A user activates the power source in the self-contained, wireless patient monitoring pad prior to putting the monitoring pad into service or use, so that the self-contained, wireless patient monitoring pad can be stored indefinitely without dissipating the energy stored within built-in the power supply.

  • Patent number: 9145030
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to a novel ‘double kingpin’ type skateboard truck having multiple elastomeric bushings, where one or more of such bushings is an elongated bushing having two staggered mounting holes incorporated herein for the purpose of mounting the bushing upon two bolts in the double kingpin truck mechanism. The novel placement and novel form of the said bushing provides both enhanced overall stability to the truck, as well as a wider range of tension adjustability features to the double kingpin truck system. Moreover, increased shock absorption capabilities, ‘wheel wobble’ resistance and overall truck mechanism balance, permit the ‘double kingpin’ type truck to be more useable for higher speed skateboard riding purposes.
