  • Patent number: 12289711
Abstract: The exchange of resource allocation assistance information between a requester User Equipment (UE) and an assistant UE allows the requester to make better resource allocation decisions. The assistance information may include a blacklist, a whitelist, resource allocation information, a candidate resource set, and measurement information, for example. Both UEs may have an assistance configuration to assist in the exchange of resource allocation assistance information, that may be obtained from a third apparatus, such as a base station. The configuration may include information related to when to trigger assistance, identities of UEs, and types of assistance information, for example. The requester may, based on the assistance information received, modify a candidate resource set at a Medium Access Control (MAC) layer. The requester may, at the MAC layer, determine a configured sidelink grant for a selected destination using assistance information targeting this destination.

  • Patent number: 12256407
Abstract: Systems and methods for PDCCH reliability are disclosed. The PDCCH may be improved by introducing multi-TRP, multi-beam or repeated, PDCCH transmission and reception. In some methods and systems, PDCCH is transmitted on multiple CORESETs (Control Resource Set), where each CORESET is associated with a TCI state. In some cases, it is beneficial if a UE can determine that multiple received DCIs are duplicates, in order not to duplicate the corresponding UE action. Methods and systems for DCI duplication determination are disclosed. In some methods and systems, PDCCH is transmitted in a single CORESET, where the CORESET is associated with multiple TCI states. Various ways to apply the different TCI states to different disjoint frequency parts of the CORESET or the whole CORESET are proposed. Furthermore, the TCI state used for PDCCH may be used for subsequent PDSCH reception as well, in some cases.

  • Publication number: 20250038807
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein to address issues at the MAC layer resulting from potential Listen-Before-Talk (LBT) failures and delayed transmission. For example, a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may monitor a plurality of TX resource pools within a sidelink bandwidth part (BWP) for LBT events. The WTRU may cause, based on determining that an LBT failure has occurred, a corrective action associated with a sidelink MAC procedure. The WTRU may determine, based on the LBT failure, that a total number or consecutive number of detected LBT failures for one of the monitored TX resource pools exceeds a threshold, indicating a consistent LBT failure. The WTRU may, based on the consistent LBT failure, send an indication of the consistent LBT failure for the TX resource pool to peer WTRUs. and an indication of the consistent LBT failure for the TX resource pool to a serving cell.

  • Publication number: 20240014880
Abstract: Beam management for the downlink can be based on user equipment (UE) measurement of downlink (DL) reference signal (RS) and UE reporting. An alternative approach that may reduce overall RS overhead and latency is BM for the downlink based on uplink (UL) RS. With this approach, the network measures UL RS transmissions on multiple beams and uses these measurements for managing beams for the DL. Disclosed herein are various problems and enhancements related to UL RS based DL BM, in particular beam failure detection and recovery.
