  • Patent number: 11995842
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for image segmentation and chemical analysis using machine learning. In some implementations, a system obtains a hyperspectral image that includes a representation of an object. The system segments the hyperspectral image to identify regions of a particular type on the object. The system generates a set of feature values derived from image data for different wavelength bands that is located in the hyperspectral image in the identified regions of the particular type. The system generates a prediction of a level of one or more chemicals in the object based on an output produced by a machine learning model in response to the set of feature values being provided as input to the machine learning model. The system provides data indicating the prediction of the level of the one or more chemicals in the object.

  • Patent number: 11994220
Abstract: Air valves, such as wastegates, utilize a shaft that rotates within a bushing system. Conventional deposition processes limit the thickness of the wear material between the shaft and bushing system. Accordingly, embodiments disclosed herein utilize one or more coating sleeves that are press-fit onto the shaft. This enables a thicker layer of wear material to be applied to the shaft, thereby improving the longevity and durability of the air valve, while also simplifying the manufacturing process. Embodiments may also utilize one or more anti-rotation features, such as a dowel or axial protrusion, and/or may utilize snap ring(s) to prevent axial sliding of the coating sleeve(s).

  • Patent number: 11997023
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to admission control of a communication session in a network. The admission control can be implemented by a network node at the boundary of the network or a subsystem thereof. In one aspect, the admission control can be implemented during a predetermined period and can be based at least on an admission criterion, which can be specific to an end-point device, e.g., a target device or an origination device. The admission criterion can be configurable and, in certain implementations, it can be obtained from historical performance associated with establishment of communication session. Such historical performance can be assessed within a period of a configurable span.

  • Patent number: 11994702
Abstract: Shaped glasses have curved surface lenses with spectrally complementary filters disposed thereon. The filters curved surface lenses are configured to compensate for wavelength shifts occurring due to viewing angles and other sources. Complementary images are projected for viewing through projection filters having passbands that pre-shift to compensate for subsequent wavelength shifts. At least one filter may have more than 3 primary passbands. For example, two filters include a first filter having passbands of low blue, high blue, low green, high green, and red, and a second filter having passbands of blue, green, and red. The additional passbands may be utilized to more closely match a color space and white point of a projector in which the filters are used. The shaped glasses and projection filters together may be utilized as a system for projecting and viewing 3D images.

  • Patent number: 11995149
Abstract: A processing system includes a first set and a second set of general-purpose registers (GPRs) and memory access circuitry that fetches nonzero values of a sparse matrix into consecutive slots in the first set. The memory access circuitry also fetches values of an expanded matrix into consecutive slots in the second set of GPRs. The expanded matrix is formed based on values of a vector and locations of the nonzero values in the sparse matrix. The processing system also includes a set of multipliers that concurrently perform multiplication of the nonzero values in slots of the first set of GPRs with the values of the vector in corresponding slots of the second set. Reduced sum circuitry accumulates results from the set of multipliers for rows of the sparse matrix.

  • Patent number: 11995004
Abstract: Data centers often run long lived services such as web servers that are intended to run for hours, days, or even longer before being torn down and replaced with another instance of the long-lived service. Currently, many applications are being implemented with microservice architectures that run short lived services that start up, implement an operation, and are then torn down. An aspect of starting up a service is creating administrative data structures such as InfiniBand queue pairs. A packet processing pipeline having a DMA output stage can be configured to create the administrative data structures, thereby increasing the rate at which the administrative data structures are created. As a result, services running in data centers can be started up more rapidly and efficiently.
