Additionally, the liner extends between a forward end and an aft end. The liner includes a plurality of quench air jets positioned between the forward end and aft end and defines a forward section extending from the quench air jets to the dome.     Abstract: A power conversion system includes a first converter effectively connected in series to a second converter. Each converter has a plurality of output levels. A phase-shifted transformer is coupled to the converters. The phase-shifted transformer has a delta-wound winding and an open star winding. The first converter is coupled to the open star winding and the second converter is coupled to the delta winding. The open star winding is configured for direct connection to either of a load or the open star winding of a second phase-shifted transformer, having a delta winding connected to a third converter. One or more DC voltage sources are each connected to the first and second converters by a respective DC link capacitor. Each DC voltage source is connected to a common power grid by an isolated multiphase transformer winding.

    Abstract: Disclosed are structures and methods for active optic cable (AOC) assembly having improved thermal characteristics. In one embodiment, an AOC assembly includes a fiber optic cable having a first end attached to a connector with a thermal insert attached to the housing for dissipating heat from the connector. The AOC assembly can dissipate a suitable heat transfer rate from the active components of the connector such as dissipating a heat transfer rate of 0.75 Watts or greater from the connector. In one embodiment, the thermal insert is at least partially disposed under the boot of the connector. In another embodiment, at least one component of the connector has a plurality of fins. Other AOC assemblies may include a connector having a pull tab for dissipating heat from the assembly.

In one embodiment, the flexible bag of the present invention is formed from the tube of material having a front side and a rear side. A pair of laterally disposed opposing gusset folds are formed in the tube along its sides. Each of the folds has a longitudinal crease. The bag further has a rear side flap extending from the rear side of the bag across the width of the tube which is folded over onto and hot air sealed to the front side of the tube of material. The gussets each have a slit approximate a first end of the tube thereby forming a front side flap. A front side flap may also be manufactured, if desired, which is then folded over when the rear side flap is folded so that the front side flat rests under the rear side flap.
