  • Patent number: 11287963
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described for creating custom user interface (“UI”) controls. A networked computing service may determine that an action performed by a user of the service is likely to be repeated, based on previous actions performed by the user and/or other users, parameters of the action including characteristics of an item associated with the action, and other criteria. The networked computing service may generate, or recommend generation of, a custom UI control that automates performance of the action. The networked computing service may automatically determine parameters of the action, and may determine alternative parameters and/or alternative actions if the action cannot be performed using the determined parameters. Custom UI controls may be associated with various computing devices and/or other electronic devices, and categories of custom UI controls may be determined and displayed.

  • Patent number: 10922743
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described for performing actions based on user activation of custom user interface (“UI”) controls. A user of a networked computing service may activate a custom UI control by selecting the custom UI control (such as by touching the custom UI control displayed on a touchscreen display) to trigger the networked computing service to perform a predefined action associated with the custom UI control. In the event that the predefined action cannot be performed, the networked computing service may identify an alternative action that may be performed instead of the predefined action, optionally request user confirmation of the alternative action, and perform the alternative action.

  • Publication number: 20200272316
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described for creating custom user interface (“UP”) controls. • Patent number: 10521854
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described for selecting and displaying custom user interface (“UI”) controls. A user of a networked computing service may create custom UI controls that perform user-specified actions, and the networked computing service may present these custom UI controls as part of its user interface. The networked computing service may determine which of a set of custom UI controls to present based on criteria such as frequency or recency of recurring usage, a context or a category associated with the custom UI controls, user preferences, the status of a pending action, usage of similar custom UI controls by other users, or other criteria. The networked computing service may present an interface that enables further customization or modification of the custom UI controls.

  • Patent number: 10296964
Abstract: An effortless and automated reordering system includes a dedicated electronic device with a simple button interface that, upon depression of the button, initiates a process of ordering (or reordering) a product associated with the device and a button on that device. The electronic device may store in memory a device identifier and button identifiers for each button as the basis for order request information. The stored data may be communicated to a fulfillment service (e.g., an online merchant, fulfillment center, etc.) for order identification processing. In some cases, an application provided by the fulfillment service may be executed on a secondary management device to allow a user to configure the electronic device to map the buttons to different products, and even different vendors, to facilitate reconfigurable order management.

  • Publication number: 20130080968
Abstract: Some implementations include displaying media content items on a home screen of a computing device. A display order for a list of media content items may be determined based, at least in part, on a predicted likelihood that an individual one of the plurality of media content items will be selected. A home screen of a user interface may be displayed, according to the determined display order, with a list of a plurality of media content items that are available to the computing device.

  • Patent number: 6465441
Abstract: Human mast cell activation is modulated by ATP binding to P2-purinoceptors on the mast cell surface. ATP binding to the purinoceptors provides a target for therapeutic intervention for the treatment of disorders characterized by undesireable mast cell mediator release, such as asthma and allergy. Inhibitors of ATP binding to mast cell P2-purinoceptors are useful therapeutic agents for treatments of those disorders. Methods of treatment using agents, and in vitro screening assays for selection of the therapeutic agents, are described.
