  • Patent number: 12164986
Abstract: Generally, a computing device displays, on a display device of the computing device, a barcode to be read by a scanning device. When a barcode is displayed on the display device a determination is made as to whether the barcode is not fully displayed on the display device due to hardware of the computing device such as a punch hole in the display device for a camera, speaker, or microphone. If the barcode is not fully displayed due to the hardware of the computing device, the display of the barcode is modified so that the barcode is fully displayed on the display device despite the hardware of the computing device. Additionally or alternatively, if the scanning device has not completed the scan within a threshold amount of time, the display of the barcode on the display device is modified, such as by increasing or decreasing the resolution of the barcode.

  • Patent number: 12162464
Abstract: Techniques are described for determining failover to a redundant braking system. An example method can include a system determining a fault occurring in a braking system of an autonomous vehicle (AV) operating in an autonomous mode, the braking system comprising a first braking system and a second braking system, the fault occurring in at least one of the first braking system and the second braking system, and the AV using the first braking system. The system can further determine whether to switch from using the first braking system based at least in part on determining the fault. The system can further transmit to an alert system of the AV, a request to generate an alert for manual control of the AV based at least in part on determining the fault. The system can further deactivate the autonomous mode of the AV based at least in part on determining the fault.

  • Patent number: 12165271
Abstract: Described are systems and method directed to generation of a dimensionally accurate three-dimensional (ā€œ3Dā€) model of a body, such as a human body, based on two-dimensional (ā€œ2Dā€) images of that body. A user may use a 2D camera, such as a digital camera typically included in many of today's portable devices (e.g., cell phones, tablets, laptops, etc.) and obtain a series of 2D body images of their body from different views with respect to the camera. The 2D body images may then be used to generate a plurality of predicted body parameters corresponding to the body represented in the 2D body images. Those predicted body parameters may then be further processed to generate a dimensionally accurate 3D model or avatar of the body of the user.

  • Patent number: 12166767
Abstract: An electronic device, computer program product, and method provide private messaging between people at a frequented location by using one or more AR display devices. The electronic device communicatively connects to a particular AR display device and attempts to identify access credentials to the electronic device of a particular person wearing the particular AR display device. The electronic device identifies that the particular person is a second person has limited access credentials, at the electronic device, to an AR user interface for leaving a private AR message intended for a first person who has full access credentials to the electronic device. The electronic device presents, at the particular AR display device, the AR user interface. The electronic device receives an AR private message from the particular AR display device and stores the AR private message for retrieval at the electronic device by first person.

  • Publication number: 20240407093
Abstract: If the two traces of a differential signal trace pair are not of identical length, intra-pair skew occurs as a result of the different flight time for the signal on each trace. Introducing serpentine routing into the shorter trace compensates for the intra-pair skew by increasing the effective length of the trace. However, the serpentine routing may also introduce impedance discontinuities. An impedance discontinuity leads to reflections and resonances, which hamper the transmitted signal in reaching the receiver. Adding extrusions to the serpentine routing may improve the impedance profile of the differential trace and thus lower reflections.

  • Publication number: 20240402990
Abstract: In a pipeline, data events generated by a producer application are temporally grouped by using a group identification tag. For each data event, data points are generated and uploaded to a storage and cache at each point of production and consumption. The storage allows a matching of data events between the production point and the consumption point, thereby ensuring that streaming parity is maintained. In cases of mismatch, the cache allows for detecting missing data events, i.e., identifying data events that were generated by an upstream producer application, but not consumed by a downstream consumer. While being agnostic to the transformations applied by the various applications in the pipeline, the embodiments disclosed herein keep track of the output data events and input data events and precisely identify the missing data events.

  • Publication number: 20240404319
Abstract: Face profiles for multiple people associated with a user are obtained at a computing device. The face profile for a person identifies the face of the person (e.g., an image of the face of the person) and a confidence level indicating how important that person is to the owner. An image is captured at the computing device and a determination is made, based on a confidence level associated with at least one face in the image, whether the image is relevant to the user. One or more actions to keep the image are taken in response to determining that the image is relevant to the user, such as saving the image at the computing device or transmitting the image to a computing device of the user.

  • Publication number: 20240396340
Abstract: A dynamic braking system for a bipole power transmission network including a first dynamic braking unit and a second dynamic braking unit connectable, respectively, between a first transmission pole and a neutral arrangement, and a second transmission pole and a neutral arrangement, of a bipole power transmission network. The dynamic braking system includes a controller configured to determine, based on an operating state of the bipole power transmission network, whether a third current equal to the difference between first and second currents flowing through the first and second dynamic braking units, can flow through the neutral arrangement. The controller is configured to operate the dynamic braking units independently if the third current is permitted to flow, and in coordination with each-other, to balance the first and second currents such that the third current is substantially zero, if the third current is not permitted to flow through the neutral arrangement.

  • Publication number: 20240393749
Abstract: Techniques for a sophisticated closed-loop control system designed for the automatic regulation of SOx emissions in a Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion (CFBC) boiler by leveraging the power of Adaptive Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) based control system, this innovative system ensures both real-time model training and implementation for dynamic and efficient SOx emission control. The present disclosure describes processing a current SOx emission, a current lime consumption value and a predefined SOx setpoint value to determine an optimal setpoint of lime consumption required to keep the SOx emission within a desired limit in real-time. Said processing includes determination of lime-SOx peak-trough curve, a response time of the boiler and the change in SOx to the change in lime. The lime consumption setpoint so determined is directly transmitted to a distributed control system to control the injection of lime in the CFBC boiler for automatic regulation of SOx emission control.

  • Publication number: 20240394831
Abstract: A method provides techniques for reducing object interference in a multi-camera system. The method includes selecting, by at least one processor of an electronic device, a first image capturing device having a first field of view (FOV) and that produces first image content. In response to detecting a partial occlusion of the first image capturing device by an object while the first image capturing device is receiving first image content, the at least one processor determines a zoom factor sufficient to remove the object from the received first image content. The processor then performs a zoom operation, based on the zoom factor, such that the object causing the partial occlusion of the first image capturing device is removed from subsequently received image content.

  • Patent number: 12155886
Abstract: Various systems, methods and devices are presented for performing media encryption. A media stream comprising audio packets and video packets can be received. A chunk of the media stream can be sorted to create a first group of a plurality of audio packets with an I-frame header and a second group of a plurality of P-frames and an I-frame payload. The first group can be encrypted while the second group is not encrypted. A fully-protected output media stream that includes the encrypted first group and the second group can then be streamed to a remote device via a network for output.

  • Patent number: 12155972
Abstract: Methods and systems for resolving one or more faults in a security camera include installing an Auto-Executable Function (AEF) on the security camera. The AEF causes the controller to backup the set of user defined configuration settings to a memory of the security camera, reset the security camera back to the set of default configuration settings, reboot the security camera, and restore the set of user defined configuration settings. In many cases, this will resolve many unresolved faults within video camera and place the video camera back online. When this does not resolve a fault, the AEF creates a diagnostic report, wirelessly transmits the diagnostic report to a mobile device of a user, the mobile device identifies a software patch for resolving the fault, and the software patch is uploaded and installed on the security camera.
