  • Patent number: 12141998
Abstract: An electronic device, a method and a computer program product for automatic camera adjustments based on eye gaze tracking. The method includes capturing, via a front facing camera, an image stream containing a face of a user and determining, via a processor, an eye gaze direction of the user based on an image retrieved from the image stream. The eye gaze direction corresponds to a location on a display where the user is looking. The method further includes mapping the location on the display to a region of interest (ROI) for focusing a rear facing camera and generating camera settings of the rear facing camera based on the ROI. The method further includes adjusting the rear facing camera using the generated camera settings such that the rear facing camera focuses on the ROI.

  • Publication number: 20240367692
Abstract: Techniques are described for providing a hands-off steering wheel detection warning. An example method can include a vehicle computer determining a real-time level of fatigue of a driver of an autonomous vehicle. The vehicle computer can determine an operating parameter associated with an environment in which the autonomous vehicle is traveling. The vehicle computer can generate, using a machine learning model, a predicted driving pattern of a second vehicle traveling in the environment. The vehicle computer can determine a time interval for providing a hands-off steering wheel detection warning based at least in part on the real-time level of fatigue of the driver, the operating parameter, and the predicted driving pattern of the second vehicle. The vehicle computer can identify a final time interval for providing a hands-off steering wheel detection warning. The vehicle computer can output the hands-off steering wheel detection warning after the final time interval has elapsed.

  • Patent number: 12135587
Abstract: An electronic device, method, and computer program product provide a predictable external finger area on a “rollable display device” for fingerprint authentication that is available at least in both a fully retracted position and fully extended position. The electronic device selectively operates a translation mechanism to slide a blade assembly relative to a device housing between the fully retracted position and the fully extended position. The blade assembly has a blade slidably coupled to a device housing and having a flexible display attached to the blade. The blade assembly has first and second fingerprint-on-display (FOD) areas that are optically transmissive, enabling light to pass through the blade assembly. While retracted, both fingerprint scanners are aligned FOD areas for use while looking at either the front or back portions of the flexible display. While extended, the front fingerprint scanner is aligned with the second FOD area while viewing the flexible display.

  • Publication number: 20240364519
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to authorization tokens for an authenticated user accessing an application. An authenticator provides user authentication information in response to a user request to access an application of a service provider. The user authentication information is used to determine business functions accessible to the user device. The user authentication information is compared with metadata of the application to determine a subset of business functions to which the user device is provided access through the application. The application can further create an authorization token that can be decoded by the first application in response to subsequent requests to access the application. The decoded authorization token can be used to determine the subset of business functions to which the user device is provided access through the application.

  • Publication number: 20240362610
Abstract: Techniques for managing data transactions are described and are implementable to enable data transactions (e.g., payment transactions) to be automatically generated in response to different conditions. In implementations, user interactions to generate payment transactions are tracked at different locations over different time durations. Accordingly, when payment transactions at a particular location reach a threshold, a data transaction record can be generated. The data transaction record can be used to automatically generate subsequent data transactions. Further, application presence across different devices can be used to generate data transactions.

  • Publication number: 20240364630
Abstract: Disclosed are approaches for providing per-application tunnel access, such as virtual private network (VPN) access, in LINUX based systems. In response to an application requesting a network connection, a process identifier of the application and an inode identifier representing a socket for the network connection are obtained. Then, a kernel space map is updated to include the process identifier of the application and the inode identifier. In response to the application making a network connection request, the inode identifier of the application is obtained based at least in part on a source network address, a source port number, a destination network address, and a destination port number. Then, the kernel space map is queried to obtain the process identifier of the application, wherein the inode identifier is a query parameter. Then, a routing policy is identified based at least in part on the process identifier.

  • Patent number: 12131009
Abstract: A mobile device communicates content to an external presentation device, such as a display device, for display or other presentation at the external presentation device. The mobile device identifies a user handedness of a user of the mobile device. One or more configuration settings for a user interface of the external presentation device are determined based on the user handedness of the user. These configuration settings are, for example, settings for any of various user interface elements displayed by the external presentation device such as icons, buttons, menus, widgets, and so forth. The configuration settings are communicated to the external presentation device, allowing the external presentation device to be configured for or adapted to the user handedness of the user.

  • Patent number: 12132985
Abstract: An electronic device includes a device housing having a front side and a rear side, a first image capture device positioned on the front side, and a second image capture device positioned on the rear side. One or more processors of the electronic device cause, in response to user input received at a user interface requesting the second image capture device capture an image of an object, the first image capture device to capture another image of a user delivering the user input. The one or more processors then define an image orientation of the image of the object to be the same as another image orientation of the other image of the user.

  • Patent number: 12132854
Abstract: An electronic device includes one or more sensors detecting an energy storage level of an energy storage device falling below a predefined threshold. A location detector and a motion detector determine whether the electronic device is positioned at a location trusted by an authorized user or whether the electronic device is being transported by a mode of transport trusted by the authorized user. The one or more processors identify foreground applications operating on the electronic device and non-essential services associated with the foreground applications. The one or more processors restrict the non-essential services from occurring when the energy storage level of the energy storage device is below the predefined threshold unless the electronic device is positioned at the trusted location or is being transported by the trusted mode of transport.
