    Abstract: A network device may execute a master application shared with another network device via a session, and may receive, by a backup application replication kernel, a replicated data object. The backup application replication kernel may provide the replicated data object to a backup application, and may calculate a time delta between when the replicated data object is received and when the replicated data object is consumed by the backup application. The backup application replication kernel may determine whether the time delta exceeds a first threshold or a second threshold, and may generate a session flag based on the time delta exceeding the first threshold or the second threshold. The backup application replication kernel may provide the session flag to a master application replication kernel and to the backup application, and the master application replication kernel may provide details of the session to the master application and the backup application.

    Abstract: The disclosure describes techniques that enable detection of memory leaks of software executing on devices within a computer network. An example network device includes memory and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry monitors a usage of the memory by a software component operating within the network device. The processing circuitry periodically determines a memory growth pattern score for the software component based on the usage of the memory. The processing circuitry also predicts whether the user-level process is experiencing a memory leak based on the memory growth pattern score. The processing circuitry applies confirmation criteria to current memory usage of the software component to confirm that the software component is experiencing the memory leak. When the software component is experiencing the memory leak, the processing circuitry generates an alert.

The housing sheath comprises a flexible and resilient material overlaying at least one of inner or outer contour of collection component without interfering with or blocking its ends or lumen. The transit component provides a conduit for fecal discharge to migrate from collection component to a receptacle and comprises a flexible, tubular sheath having a first open end connected to a second end by a lumen, wherein the first end engages with the proximal end of the collection component.

    Abstract: A lightweight stacked optical waveguide using two plastic substrates having nano-structure gratings and a single glass substrate sandwiched between them. The nano-structure gratings face each other, and are each encapsulated within the optical waveguide. The two plastic substrates are each adhesively secured to the central glass substrate rather than to each other to provide sufficient securing strength and precisely establish and maintain an air gap between the substrates. The thickness of the plastic substrates and the glass substrate are selected such that the stacked optical waveguide is lightweight, but also has sufficient drop performance. The stacked optical waveguide can be efficiently manufactured as the adhesive bonds a plastic substrate to a glass substrate.

    Abstract: To provide a low latency near RT RIC, some embodiments separate the RIC's functions into several different components that operate on different machines (e.g., execute on VMs or Pods) operating on the same host computer or different host computers. Some embodiments also provide high speed interfaces between these machines. Some or all of these interfaces operate in non-blocking, lockless manner in order to ensure that critical near RT RIC operations (e.g., datapath processes) are not delayed due to multiple requests causing one or more components to stall. In addition, each of these RIC components also has an internal architecture that is designed to operate in a non-blocking manner so that no one process of a component can block the operation of another process of the component. All of these low latency features allow the near RT RIC to serve as a high speed IO between the E2 nodes and the xApps.
