  • Publication number: 20100246989
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention describe a method for reducing a blur in an image of a scene. First, we acquire a set of images of the scene, wherein each image in the set of images includes an object having a blur associated with a point spread function (PSF) forming a set of point spread functions (PSFs), wherein the set of PSFs is suitable for null-filling operation. Next, we invert jointly the set of images and the set of PSFs to produce an output image having a reduced blur.

  • Publication number: 20100242012
Abstract: A method of forming a mask. The method includes providing design information of a design layer. The design layer includes M original design features and N original dummy features. The method further includes (i) creating a cluster of P representative dummy features, P being a positive integer less than N, (ii) performing OPC for the cluster of the P representative dummy features but not for the N original dummy features, resulting in P OPC-applied representative dummy features, and (iii) forming the mask including N mask dummy features. The N mask dummy features are identical. Each mask dummy feature of the N mask dummy features of the mask has an area which is a function of at least an area of an OPC-applied representative dummy feature of the P OPC-applied representative dummy features. • Publication number: 20100238934
Abstract: The present invention provides an efficient system and method for routing information through a dynamic network. The system includes at least one ingress point and one egress point. The ingress and egress point cooperate to form a virtual circuit for routing packets to destination subnets directly reachable by the egress point. The egress point automatically discovers which subnets are directly accessible via its local ports and summarizes this information for the ingress point. The ingress point receives this information, compiles it into a routing table, and verifies that those subnets are best accessed by the egress point. Verification is accomplished by sending probe packets to select addresses on the subnet. Additionally, the egress point may continue to monitor the local topology and incrementally update the information to the ingress to allow the ingress to adjust its compiled routing table.

  • Patent number: 7801761
Abstract: Customers buy a variety of equipments and gadgets from multiple vendors and interact with manufacturers through contact centers to get their questions on the bought products answered. The market opportunities and competitiveness are forcing manufacturers to be accommodative and innovative in providing post-sale support. An essential aspect of this market dynamics is customer churn and the manufactures are required to ensure that product loyalty and brand loyalty of the customers are high. While Customer Relationship Management (CRM) has been playing an all important role of monitoring and managing customer relationships, it is necessary to augment CRM with more specific enhancements. The need is to have an integrated, practical, and realizable approach that focuses on measuring customer satisfaction index based on multiple interactions of customers with manufacturers.

  • Patent number: 7800407
Abstract: To pre-charge a node to one of first and second voltage levels in response to inputs received at the corresponding voltage level, to selectively level shift the node from the first voltage level to the second voltage level when in a first voltage mode, and to maintain the node at the second voltage level when in a second voltage mode. Level shifting from first voltage level may be performed within one gate stage that may be bypassed when in the second voltage mode. The node may be discharged with no delay difference between the first and second voltage modes. Inputs may include a clock signal, which may be received at either of the first and second voltage levels without level shifting the clock signal. A circuit may be implemented with a multi-core processor system to permit selective voltage mode operation of the cores.

  • Publication number: 20100235505
Abstract: Architecture for extending a presence document into additional formats and protocols. An aggregator federates the presence document into a standardized schema that can be consumed at a standardized endpoint. The standardized schema can be a web feed that is interoperably consumed by a web feed consumer, for example, an RSS/Atom schema. Access of the presence document content is controlled based on a relationship between the user and a subscriber. Categories are specified for the presence document content, and access is controlled according to the categories. The specified categories can correspond to user authentication levels. The categories can include multiple syndicated channels corresponding to multiple subscriber access levels. In this way, levels of access are defined for various categories of availability information and activity information, based on the relationship of the user to the subscriber.

  • Patent number: 7797443
Abstract: An improved system and method for detecting spam e-mail over a distributed network is disclosed. The distributed network includes multiple servers that receive and process e-mail messages for a multiple remotely located clients. The system includes multiple packet sniffers that are each located on a unique one of servers. The packet sniffers extract originating IP addresses associated with e-mail messages that are communicated to the clients over the network. The system further includes a central monitor that communicates with the packet sniffers and that monitors data regarding originating IP addresses. The monitor determines whether an originating IP address has exceeded a threshold value and may take corrective measures in response, such as generating an alert to a spam analyst or blocking messages originating from that IP address. By leveraging data from several different clients, the system can detect and stop spam messages for an IP address even if a spammer has not targeted a specific customer.

  • Patent number: 7797709
Abstract: A method for accessing data from a network storage medium is disclosed. An application supplies a query interface to a software object. The software object then establishes a connection between the application and the network storage medium using database information supplied by the query interface. Next, an annotated method supplied by the query interface is executed using logic provided by the software object. After the transactions have ended, the annotated method closes the connection between the application and the network storage medium.
