  • Publication number: 20110030167
Abstract: The present invention provides an adjustable hinged door closer, including a seat with the first and second cylinders, and a first and a second elastic linkage unit. A double-threaded regulator is incorporated onto the first connecting rod of the first elastic linkage unit, so as to change the compression of the spring and regulate the closing/restoring force of the door body. The double-threaded column of the double-threaded regulator has a double-thread that shifts to two thread pitches by just making one rotation, thus facilitating the fine-tuning easily. The elastic linkage unit and the regulator are structurally configured to be assembled externally, and then mated with the connecting seat of the door closer.

  • Publication number: 20100234992
Abstract: A method and system for aligning robotic wafer transfer systems provides a wafer cassette having one or more wafer slots having portions covered with an electrically conductive material and a sensor that is in electrical communication with the electrically conductive material. When a wafer is loaded into a wafer cassette such as may be contained within a wafer transfer module such as a FOUP, an indication of position is delivered to the sensor which detects the alignment and indicates if the loaded wafer undesirably contacts either or both of the opposed grooves that form the wafer slot of the wafer cassette. An indication of the wafer's position may be provided from the sensor to a controller that delivers a signal for aligning the wafer transfer blade of the wafer transfer robot responsive to the signal indicative of position.

  • Publication number: 20090109196
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a self-aligned stylus with high sphericity includes the steps of: forming a polymeric layer on a substrate; placing a sphere on the polymeric layer; softening the polymeric layer to make a portion of the sphere sink into the polymeric layer; forming a specific light absorbing layer on the polymeric layer; illuminating the sphere and the specific light absorbing layer with specific light such that the specific light is focused by the sphere to expose the polymeric layer to form an exposed portion and an unexposed portion; removing the specific light absorbing layer; and baking the polymeric layer and then removing the unexposed portion. A self-aligned stylus with high sphericity is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20080034535
Abstract: A door closer includes a casing having a hydraulic cylinder in which a coupling block is received, and a first tunnel and a second tunnel are in communication with the hydraulic cylinder. A passage is in communication between the first and second tunnels so as to allow the hydraulic oil to flow between the two tunnels. The coupling block includes a pivot shaft for being connected to a door. A first rod and a second rod are pivotably connected to the coupling block and respectively inserted in the first and second tunnels. A threaded rod is connected to a distal end of the first rod and a first spring is mounted to the first rod and the threaded rod. A sleeve is threadedly engaged with the threaded rod and an operation rod is securely connected to the sleeve so that when rotating the operation rod, the first spring is adjusted by moving the sleeve relative to the threaded rod.

  • Patent number: 5199411
Abstract: A toy missile projector comprises a tubular missile body, an outer tube and an inner tube placed within the missile body such that the outer tube is fixed to an annular groove on the missile body and maintains contact with a reset spring located in the annular groove. A piston is mounted in the lower end of the missile body, a compression spring is placed in an axial hole at the end of the piston rod, a spring and a movable pin is placed in a longitudinal key way on the outer wall of the piston body such that the movable pin is aligned with a stop hole on the missile body so that when a launching button at the stop hole is triggered, the compression spring is released and the piston rod is displaced rapidly for firing. The missile body can be formed in three sections--first, intermediate, and last outer tubes, and assembled with a guide tube and a piston rod and with a reset spring placed between the guide tube and the last outer tube.

  • Patent number: 5169253
Abstract: A writing instrument with a projector mechanism includes a pen holder with an upper section for holding either a pen fixing blocking with a refill for writing purposes or a toy missile or other article for fun. The pen holder also includes a lower section for installation of a projector mechanism composed of a plunger, a push rod, a compression spring, a rtainer ring and a puller. By pulling the puller outwardly the plunger and the push rod are displaced, and the compression spring is compressed. Then release of the puller can result in a thrust force in the pen holder to project the toy missile or other article in the upper section of the pen holder for fun. Alternatively placing the pen fixing block with a refill in the upper section of the pen holder, the writing instrument can be used for writing.

  • Patent number: 4848307
Abstract: A toy air pistol for launching missile bullets includes chiefly an air-compression mechanism and a triggering mechanism, a revolving cylinder, and a barrel. The revolving cylinder has several cartridge chambers for loading missile bullets. The air hole of the air-compression mechanism can be aligned with any one of the cartridge chambers. The triggering mechanism releases the compression spring and piston to generate a powerful air pressure out of the air hole to launch the missile bullet out of the barrel. The missile bullet has a trumpet-shaped tail and an air chamber extending almost the whole length of the body thereof for receiving the air pressure as a propelling force for the missile bullet. The front end of the missile bullet may be mounted with an explosive charge or a protective cap so as to have the bullet look and act like a real one, or to increase its safety during play.
