  • Patent number: 8054084
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for identifying a fault condition in stator windings in an electric motor. A method comprises applying a first signal at a first electrical angle to the stator windings and measuring a second signal from the stator windings in response to the first signal. The method further comprises determining a measured response for the electric motor at the first electrical angle based on the second signal and obtaining a nominal response for the electric motor at the first electrical angle. A fault condition is identified when a magnitude of the difference between the measured response and the nominal response is greater than a threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20110248934
Abstract: A contactless touch panel comprises a first transparent substrate, a plurality of planar (or miniaturized) microsensors dispersedly arranged on a surface of the first transparent substrate, a second transparent substrate stacked on the first transparent substrate to cover the microsensors, and a detecting element electrically connected to the microsensors. Thus, when a touching object approaches (does not touch) the touch panel, the microsensors sense the touching object via an electric field or a magnetic field and generate sensing signals sent to the detecting element according to changes in the electric field or the magnetic field and their strength. The detecting element determines a position of the touching object above the touch panel to achieve the purpose of non-contact control.

  • Publication number: 20110050141
Abstract: A temperature estimation controller and methods are provided for estimating stator winding temperature over a full range of motor operating speeds. In one implementation, the angular velocity of a motor is determined along with a total power loss for each phase of said motor. The total power loss in each phase comprises stator winding power loss and a core power loss. Stator winding temperatures for each phase of motor can then estimated based on the total power loss in that phase, and a combined thermal impedance for that phase. The combined thermal impedance comprises a first thermal impedance between the stator winding and the stator core, and a second thermal impedance between the stator core and the motor coolant.

  • Publication number: 20110012830
Abstract: A stereo image interaction system includes a stereo image capturing module, a stereo image processing unit, a system host, and a stereo image display module. When the stereo image display module displays a stereo image, the stereo image capturing module obtains a motion image of an operation body, the stereo image processing unit obtains a motion characteristic from the motion image and transmits the motion characteristic to a central processing unit (CPU), and the CPU calculates a real-time motion of the stereo image under the motion characteristic. At this time, the stereo image displayed by the stereo image display module changes along with the motion characteristic, so that a virtual stereo image is displayed in a physical space, and the operation body is enabled to directly perform a real-time interaction on the stereo image.

  • Publication number: 20100328053
Abstract: An array-type tactile feedback touch panel includes a touch unit, a central processing unit (CPU), a vibration unit, and a display unit. The vibration unit has a plurality of thin vibrators. When the display unit displays a touch frame and a touch body performs a touch motion on the touch unit, the touch unit records a motion track during the touch motion and transmits the motion track to the CPU. Then, the vibration unit receives the motion track, and drives the vibrators under corresponding positions of the motion track to generate vibrations. Therefore, during the touch motion, a partial tactile feedback is generated at touch points of the touch body, and the tactile feedback effect is generated sequentially according to the motion track of the touch body.

  • Publication number: 20100283833
Abstract: A digital image capturing device with stereo image display and touch functions is provided. The digital image capturing device includes an image capturing module, a central processing unit (CPU), and a touch display module. The CPU transmits a stereo image to the touch display module. The touch display module converts the stereo image into a multi-image, and then the multi-image is synthesized into the stereo image after being perceived by eyes. When a touch body performs a touch operation on the touch display module, for example, a contact/non-contact touch, the touch display module produces a first or second motion track, and the stereo image on the touch display module changes in real time along with the first or second motion track, so as to achieve an interactive effect of a virtual stereo image during the touch operation.

The backs of the touch panels are adhered together via an adhesive layer so the touch panel structure can be used on two sides and operate two functions. Also, to simplify the structure, conductive layers of different functions are disposed on the two sides of the same substrate.
