    Abstract: An automotive disk brake assembly installed in an automobile having a wheel. The assembly includes a floating caliper supporting inner and outer brake pads and a brake rotor having a disk, a hat, wherein the hat is bolted to the wheel. A hydraulic cylinder pushes the inner brake pads into the disk surface, thereby causing the floating caliper to move so as to bring the outer brake pad into contact with the disk surfaces. Finally, the rotor is made of a material having a thickness and a coefficient of thermal expansion and conductivity, such that a complete 100 kilometer per hour, 0.9 gross vehicle weight braking causes the disk to expand in thickness by at least 0.10 mm and to cool to shrink in thickness, from its expanded thickness, by at least 0.05 mm within 60 seconds of cessation of braking, in an ambient temperature of less than 30° C.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing either high-speed, or lower-speed, flexible inputs and outputs. An input and output structure having a high-speed input, a high-speed output, a low or moderate speed input, and an low or moderate speed output is provided. One of the input and output circuits are selected and the others are deselected. The high-speed input and output circuits are comparatively simple, in one example having only a clear signal for a control line input, and are able to interface to lower speed circuitry inside the core of an integrated circuit. The low or moderate speed input and output circuits are more flexible, for example, having preset, enable, and clear as control line inputs, and are able to support JTAG boundary testing. These parallel high and lower speed circuits are user selectable such that the input output structure is optimized between speed and functionality depending on the requirements of the application.

A first semiconductor layer is epitaxially grown in the trenches, and the first semiconductor layer has a first dopant with a first dopant concentration. A second semiconductor layer is epitaxially grown over the first semiconductor layer, and the second semiconductor layer has a second dopant with a second dopant concentration. The second dopant has an electrical carrier type opposite to an electrical carrier type of the first dopant.

Partially parallel imaging (PPI) can performed to enhance the navigation information. The navigator projection vectors and the reference projection vectors are sensitivity weighted using the coil sensitivity maps to generate navigator sensitivity weighted projection vectors (navigator SWPV) and reference sensitivity weighted projection vectors (reference SWPV) respectively, and these are compared to generate subject position information.     Abstract: In a method for making a wave-absorbing sheet, first emulsified mixture is provided by mixing wave-absorbing particles with graphene solution so that the graphene solution absorbs the wave-absorbing particles. Secondly, second emulsified mixture is provided by adding and blending resin solution in the first emulsified mixture. Thirdly, third emulsified mixture is provided by adding and blending interface modifier in the second emulsified mixture. Then, two conductive substrates are submerged in the third emulsified mixture, and voltage is provided to the third emulsified mixture so that the wave-absorbing particles, the resin solution and the graphene solution are evenly coated on the conductive substrates. Then, a wave-absorbing sheet is provided by eroding and removing the conductive substrates. Finally, the wave-absorbing sheet is washed and dried. The wave-absorbing sheet is thin, light and flexible, and exhibits a wide absorption frequency band and a high absorption rate.

In some cases, the position of the entities can be determined in all three spatial dimensions (i.e., in the x, y, and z directions), and in certain cases, the positions in all three dimensions can be determined to an accuracy of less than about 1000 nm. In some cases, the z positions may be determined using one of a variety of techniques that uses intensity information or focal information (e.g., a lack of focus) to determine the z position. Non-limiting examples of such techniques include astigmatism imaging, off-focus imaging, or multi-focal-plane imaging.

With these arrangements, the illumination system can strengthen the light of a specific color and the volume of the illumination system can be reduced.
