Abstract: Embodiments of an electromagnetic coil assembly are provided, as are methods for the manufacture of an electromagnetic coil assembly. In one embodiment, the electromagnetic coil assembly includes coiled magnet wire and a braided lead wire, which has a first end segment electrically coupled to the coiled magnet wire and having a second end segment. The electromagnetic coil assembly further includes an electrically-conductive member to which the second end segment of the braided lead wire is crimped.

Abstract: The present invention relates to new salts of 6-(propyl-(2-thiophen-2-ylethyl)amino)tetralin-1-ol (rotigotine), their use as a medicament, for example for the treatment of CNS disorders like Parkinson Disease, RLS, fybromyalgia and/or depression, in particular through electromotive administration. The present invention relates to pharmaceutical formulations suitable for iontophoresis that provide enhanced iontophoretic delivery of rotigotine to at least one target tissue. The formulations are further characterized by good to excellent solubility of the salts in aqueous solutions.

Abstract: Compounds having drug and bio-affecting properties, their pharmaceutical compositions and methods of use are set forth. In particular, modified C-3 betulinic acid and other structurally related natural products derivatives that possess unique antiviral activity are provided as HIV maturation inhibitors. These compounds are useful for the treatment of HIV and AIDS.

Abstract: A method of extending a user profile. A user specific data related to an application is received and stored for integration with a user profile. A template for the application is received and stored. The template tailors the user specific data based on aesthetic preferences of the user to generate a tailored user specific data. The user profile is extended based on the user specific data for the application and the template for the application. The user profile comprising the tailored user specific data may be provided for rendering. Local information, e.g., geographical location, of the user may be determined to tailor the user profile based on the local information. The user specific data and/or the template may be in a markup language format. Update to the user specific data and/or template may be pushed when available.

Abstract: In general, techniques are described for providing thread-level tracing within an operating system kernel. A computing device comprising processes, an operating system and a control unit that executes the operating system may implement the techniques. Each of the processes comprises an instance of an application program. Each of the processes comprises one or more separate threads of instruction execution. The operating system concurrently executes the processes. The control unit traces execution of a system call issued to the operating system by one of the threads currently being executed by the control unit to generate a trace log that traces execution of the system call by the operating system without tracing execution of any other ones of the one or more threads corresponding to those of the plurality of processes that are also being executed by the operating system during execution of the system call.

Abstract: Methods, systems and devices are disclosed. Among the disclosed devices is an electronic device that, in certain embodiments, includes a plurality of memory elements or imaging elements connected to a bit-line and a delta-sigma modulator connected to the bit-line. The delta-sigma modulator may include an integrator having a differential amplifier.

Abstract: A brachytherapy packaging system is disclosed including an inner tray containing a plurality of recesses, each recess for holding a strand of linked radiological seeds separated by spacers. An inner tray cover may also contain a plurality of recesses that coincide with the recesses of the inner tray when placed over the inner tray. The inner tray and inner tray cover may be supported by and enclosed in a container made out of a metal such as pewter. A retainer may also be supportable on the top of the container, shaped for holding a forceps or tweezers. An outer tray may be used for supporting and enclosing the container and optional retainer. The outer tray may be sealed with a removable sheet adhesively attached to a rim of the outer tray. Different configurations of the inner tray and inner tray cover may be used for different packaging configurations.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for mount-time reconciliation of data availability. During system boot-up, a non-volatile memory (“NVM”) driver can be enumerated, and an NVM driver mapping can be obtained. The NVM driver mapping can include the actual availability of LBAs in the NVM. A file system can then be mounted, and a file system allocation state can be generated. The file system allocation state can indicate the file system's view of the availability of LBAs. Subsequently, data availability reconciliation can be performed. That is, the file system allocation state and the NVM driver mapping can be overlaid and compared with one another in order to expose any discrepancies.

Abstract: Systems and methods for creating Web pages are provided. Web page development components, referred to as “pods,” may be used to encapsulate discrete functionality for use and re-use within Web pages. The pods may be contained in a library, from which a developer may select one or more pods that provide the functionality and/or presentation definitions the developer wishes to include in the Web page. A pod may contain all the functional and presentation information required to implement the desired functionality, and may contain only that functional and presentation information.

Abstract: Improved agriculturally useful products are provided, including solid materials such as nitrogenous fertilizers (e.g., urea), together with a polycarboxylated polymer selected from the group consisting of a salts of copolymers containing individual quantities of maleic and itaconic moieties. The polymer composition also includes from about 10-60% by weight of an organic drying agent such as a lower alcohol which enhances the quick drying properties thereof. The compositions may also include an amount of boron, and bimodal vinylic polymer made up of quantities of high and low molecular weight (MW) vinylic polymers such as PVA.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for establishing and maintaining communication between two or more communication devices coupled to communication networks. Some specific aspects relate to communication between a plurality of communication devices each of which is coupled to a respective network. Other aspects relate to establishing such communication by way of contact lists maintained and facilitated on systems coupled to the networks. Users of multiple communication networks, such as VoIP, PSTN and wireless, employ multiple communication devices to communicate with their contacts. For example, a VoIP enabled computer is necessary to access contacts on a VoIP network and a mobile or cellular telephone is used to access contacts on wireless and PSTN networks. A contact list, stored on one communication device, in some instances, cannot be accessed from another communication device.

The memory stores interaction data associated with an interaction between a customer and an associate of an entity. The processor is operable to determine, from the interaction data, one or more keywords in the interaction between the customer and the associate, determine an order of the one or more keywords, and determine a grouping of the one or more keywords. The processor determines, based on the determined keywords, order, and grouping, a perception of the entity by the customer, the determination of the perception of the entity occurring in real-time after the interaction between the customer and the associate.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for providing a digital blank check. The systems and methods may include a financial service provider providing loan terms to a customer. The financial service provider may receive, from a customer device, a first loan request relating to an item. The financial service provider may also generate a first offer based on the first loan request and provide the first offer to the customer device. The financial service provider may also receive, from the customer device at a point-of-sale location, a second loan request relating to the item. In response, the financial service provider may generate a second offer based on the second loan request and provide the second offer to the customer device at the point-of-sale location.

Abstract: A system and method for optimizing mobile communications with one or more message recipients is disclosed. The system is configured to create a unique URL and send it to a message recipient via an appropriate communication platform. The system waits for the unique URL to be requested and logs information from the web browser associated with the mobile communication device used to access the unique URL. The system may use this information to direct the mobile device user to a dynamically created web page. This methodology can be used to improve immediate and future communications by tailoring the message content and communication platform according to the message recipient's mobile device. The dynamic web page may also be configured to prompt the message recipient to execute a desired action, including downloading a compatible mobile app and changing message delivery preferences in order to optimize communications with the message recipient.

Abstract: A Datacenter Management Service (DMS) is provided as a platform designed to automate datacenter management tasks that are performed across multiple technology silos and datacenter servers or collections of servers. The infrastructure to perform the automation is provided by integrating heterogeneous task providers and implementations into a set of standardized adapters through dependency inversion. A platform automating datacenter management tasks may include three main components: integration of adapters into an interface allowing a common interface for datacenter task execution, an execution platform that works against the adapters, and implementation of the adapters for a given type of datacenter management task.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems for dispensing an off-gassing liquid product mixed with a diluting product are provided. A liquid product or product solution is moved through a primed product line and towards a dispenser. The liquid product is combined with the diluting product to create a solution. The solution is dispensed. Prevention of displacement of the product line is accomplished by redirecting at least a portion of the unused liquid product in the product line to a displacement system operatively attached to the product line and including a secondary container. The stored product may be used with the next dispensement of solution, or emptied in a sanitary manner.

Abstract: A biomedical device for continuous or intermittent monitoring of vital signs, such a arterial blood pressure, pulse oxymetry, etc., comprises two components connected by a wireless link. The first component is an electronic bracelet attached to a patient, while the second one is a smartphone that controls the first component and receives from it biomedical signals. The bracelet carries various sensors and actuators to enable and acquiring medical signals. The smartphone has an app that commands the bracelet and then receives and processes data and takes further actions, like enabling an alarm, plotting data, calling an emergency service or doctor office.

Abstract: Polymeric composites are produced by melt processing biobased polymers with an acrylated silicone polyether at temperatures that promote free radical reactions between the bio-based polymer and the acrylated silicone polyether. The bio-based compositions have an excellent balance of mechanical properties and are suitable for flame retardant applications.

Abstract: A system for controlling effects performed on an image includes a digital camera having a display that displays the image. Masking tools position graphical representations on the display to define a portion of the image that is altered when the effects are subsequently applied to the image. The several masking tools may be combined to form a single masking tool.
