  • Publication number: 20240416407
Abstract: A method for removing a plate-shaped first workpiece from an upper side of a stack of plate-shaped further workpieces in a sequential direction of the further workpieces includes lifting the first workpiece using a gripper, and inserting a separating layer between a raised corner of the first workpiece and a second workpiece from the stack of further workpieces. The second workpiece is adjacent to the first workpiece. The method further includes holding down the stack of further workpieces by the separating layer, removing the first workpiece from the stack of further workpieces, and measuring a thickness of the first workpiece.

  • Publication number: 20240419292
Abstract: Dynamically resizable UI views for electronic devices are disclosed. The dynamically resizable UI views may be UI views for widgets. In one or more implementations, an application provides, to a system process, multiple states for a user interface (UI) view for the application, and one or more transition definitions each defining a transition between two of the multiple states. When a user, or content of the UI view, triggers a change from one of the multiples states to another of the multiple states of the UI view, the system process may animate the change according to the one or more transition definitions. In one or more implementations, an application provides system animated transitions between application UI States, and provides application data to be displayed in the rendered UI view.

  • Publication number: 20240415625
Abstract: An animal positioned on a perforated platform can be stimulated in an automated fashion. Images of the animal's paw are captured using a bottom-view camera positioned below the platform. Based on these images, an upwards-pointing tool is moved until it is directly beneath the paw. The animal is then stimulated automatically by moving the tool upwards to contact the paw, then moving it back down to cease the contact. Images of the animal are captured using at least one side-view camera, and these images can be analyzed to ascertain the animal's response to the stimulus.

  • Publication number: 20240419074
Abstract: A method includes forming a plurality of first mandrels over a substrate, forming an overcoat layer over the plurality of first mandrels, and inducing a crosslinking reaction within the overcoat layer and form a crosslinked overcoat layer. The method further includes exposing the substrate to a radiation to generate a plurality of acid molecules within the plurality of first mandrels, diffusing a portion of the plurality of acid molecules from the plurality of first mandrels into portions of the crosslinked overcoat layer, and inducing a decrosslinking reaction within the portions of the crosslinked overcoat layer and form de-crosslinked regions. Unmodified regions of the crosslinked overcoat layer form a plurality of second mandrels. The method further includes selectively removing the de-crosslinked regions. The plurality of first mandrels and the plurality of second mandrels form a mandrel pattern over the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20240418289
Abstract: In an example, a system for applying an agricultural product includes a valve and a solenoid. For instance, the valve includes a coil that generates a magnetic flux. The system includes a valve controller. The valve controller is configured to measure one or more electrical characteristics of at least one of the coil or a dissipation element. In some examples, the valve controller determines an actual duty cycle of a valve operator of the valve using the measured electrical characteristics. The valve controller determines a magnetic flux correction, for instance based on a difference between the actual duty cycle and a specified duty cycle. The valve controller operates the valve operator according to the specified magnetic flux and the magnetic flux correction to guide the actual duty cycle toward the specified duty cycle.

  • Publication number: 20240419869
Abstract: A computing device obtains first and second factors for a nesting design and first and second sets of candidate options for the first and second factors, respectively. The computing device also receives a nesting indication that the second factor is nested within the first factor. The computing device generates the nesting design by portioning the first and second sets of candidate options into respective first and second different sets of groups. Based on the nesting indication, the computing device generates an assignment of groups for a design, and also selects options in the nesting design for the first and second factors based on the assignment of groups. The computing device also generates terms for a computer model for a computer simulation of the nesting design, as well as one or more computer-generated assessments of the nesting design based on the computer simulation.

  • Publication number: 20240417895
Abstract: Interlacing equipment may be used to form fabric. A component detector may be used to feed strands such as a conductive strand to the interlacing equipment. One or more electrical components may be mounted to the conductive strand. The component detector may have a sensor configured to detect the presence of the electrical component as the conductive strand is fed to the interlacing equipment through the component detector. In response to detecting the component with the sensor, the interlacing equipment may automatically adjust interlacing operations in preparation for receiving the electrical component. For example, needles may be lowered in a knitting system, select warp strands may be raised and lowered in a weaving system, or a carrier may follow a modified path in a braiding system in response to detecting the electrical component. The fabric may have a different construction in regions where the electrical component is received.

  • Publication number: 20240416154
Abstract: A neuromodulation system including a catheter has a balloon along its distal end. An ultrasound transducer positioned within an interior of the balloon can be selectively activated to emit acoustic energy radially outwardly, targeting nerve tissue and other portions of the subject anatomy. Targeted nerve tissue can be heated by the application of ultrasonic energy to neuromodulate the tissue. The system may be delivered over a guidewire. A catheter enhances fluid delivery to a distal end of the catheter while reducing an overall diameter of the catheter. The catheter comprises a guidewire lumen that is eccentric relative to a center axis of the catheter.

  • Publication number: 20240420409
Abstract: A system and method for translating a 3D visualization to a 2D visualization is provided. Data for a 3D visualization is received and includes layers of voxels that are processed to determine a type of terrain and color associated with the terrain type. Each voxel in a base layer of the 3D visualization is transformed into a tile of pixels for a 2D visualization. The color associated with the layers is assigned to the tiles by identifying, for each such layer, a marker for each voxel in that layer that indicates a presence or absence of the terrain type for that layer and applying the color associated with the layer to at least a portion of the tiles based on the markers. When multiple colors are applied to one of the tiles, the color associated with the layer furthest from the base layer is selected. The 2D visualization is output.
