  • Patent number: 12002235
Abstract: An iterative multi-image camera orientation estimation comprising: capturing an image of a scene before the camera; detecting line segments in the scene; computing a maximum likelihood (ML) camera orientation by maximizing a likelihood objective by rotating the camera's X-Y-Z coordinate system such that it is being optimally aligned with the line segments in at least two of the frontal, the lateral, and the vertical orthogonal directions; estimating a maximum a-posteriori (MAP) camera orientation that maximizes an a-posteriori objective such that the MAP camera orientation is an optimal value in between the priori camera orientation and the ML camera orientation, and is closer to the one with smaller uncertainty; iterating the multi-image camera orientation estimation with the priori camera orientation and its corresponding priori camera orientation uncertainty set to the computed MAP camera orientation and its corresponding uncertainty respectively until the uncertainty is lower than a threshold.

  • Patent number: 12002164
Abstract: Various methods and systems are provided for authoring and presenting 3D presentations. Generally, an augmented or virtual reality device for each author, presenter and audience member includes 3D presentation software. During authoring mode, one or more authors can use 3D and/or 2D interfaces to generate a 3D presentation that choreographs behaviors of 3D assets into scenes and beats. During presentation mode, the 3D presentation is loaded in each user device, and 3D images of the 3D assets and corresponding asset behaviors are rendered among the user devices in a coordinated manner. As such, one or more presenters can navigate the scenes and beats of the 3D presentation to deliver the 3D presentation to one or more audience members wearing augmented reality headsets.

  • Patent number: 12001939
Abstract: Artificial intelligence (AI)-based guidance for an ultrasound device to improve capture of echo image views comprises receiving a plurality of the echo images captured by a probe of the ultrasound device, the ultrasound device including a display and a user interface (UI) that displays the echo images to a user. One or more neural networks process the echo images to continuously attempt to automatically classify the echo images by view type and generates corresponding classification confidence scores. The view type of the echo images are simultaneously displayed in the UI along with the echo images. Feedback indications are displayed in the UI of the ultrasound device to the user, where the feedback indications include which directions to move the probe of the ultrasound device so the probe can be placed in a correct position to capture and successfully classify the echo images.
