  • Patent number: 11359334
Abstract: The present invention provides a pulp product (e.g., paper) comprising cellulose and nanocellulose, wherein the nanocellulose is derived from the cellulose in a mechanical and/or chemical step that is separate from the main pulping process. The pulping process may be thermomechanical pulping or hydrothermal-mechanical pulping, for example. The pulp product is stronger and smoother with the presence of the nanocellulose. The nanocellulose further can function as a retention aid, for a step of forming the pulp product (e.g., in a paper machine). Other embodiments provide a corrugated medium pulp composition comprising cellulose pulp and nanocellulose, wherein the nanocellulose includes cellulose nanofibrils and/or cellulose nanocrystals and the nanocellulose may be hydrophobic. The nanocellulose improves the strength properties of the corrugated medium. In some embodiments, the cellulose pulp is a GreenBox+® pulp and the nanocellulose is derived from the AVAP® process.

  • Patent number: 11358381
Abstract: A method for attaching and detaching a substrate from a bonded stack is disclosed. A broadband light-absorbing material is combined with an adhesive material to form a broadband light-absorbing adhesive. A layer of the broadband light-absorbing adhesive is then applied on one side of a transparent carrier. A substrate is placed on the broadband light-absorbing adhesive and the transparent carrier to form a bonded stack. The substrate can be a wafer or a polymeric film. At this point, processing steps can be performed on the substrate. After the processing steps have been completed, a light pulse from a flashlamp is utilized to heat up the broadband light-absorbing adhesive in order to loosen the substrate from the bonded stack such that the substrate can be easily detached from the bonded stack.

  • Patent number: 11361993
Abstract: A process flow is utilized for patterning of dual damascene structures in BEOL process steps. Conductor vias are inversely patterned in the form of pillars that are formed before the final dielectric stack is deposited. The final dielectric stack may include a low-k dielectric and the conductor may be ruthenium. The vias may be formed by forming conductor pillars in patterned voids of a sacrificial layer. After the pillars are formed, certain areas between the pillars can then be backfilled with a dielectric, such as for example, a low-k dielectric material. The trench conductor of the dual damascene structure may then be formed. The sacrificial dielectric may then be removed and an additional layer of low-k dielectric material can then be deposited or coated on the structure to provide the final structure having the dual damascene vias and trenches filled with the conductor surrounded by low-k material.
