  • Publication number: 20170163971
Abstract: A system and method for compressed-sensing ultrafast photography for two-dimensional dynamic imaging is disclosed. The system and method may capture non-repetitive time-evolving events at up to about 100 billion frames per second. In an aspect, a digital micromirror device (DMD) may be added as the spatial encoding module. By using the DMD and applying the CUP reconstruction algorithm, a conventional 1D streak camera may be transformed to a 2D ultrafast imaging device. The resultant system may capture a single, non-repetitive event at up to 100 billion frames per second with appreciable sequence depths (up to about 350 frames per acquisition). In another aspect, a dichroic mirror may be used to separate signals into two color channels, and may further expand CUP's functionality into the realm of four-dimensional x, y, ?, t ultrafast imaging, maximizing the information content that may be simultaneously acquired from a single instrument.

  • Publication number: 20170162196
Abstract: A dual-mode voice control method is disclosed. The method may comprise determining whether a user has executed an operation of activating an operate-to-speak stop determination mode in a voice input interface. The method may further comprise, in response to determining that the user has executed the operation of activating the operate-to-speak stop determination mode, determining whether a microphone is in a busy state. The method may further comprise, in response to determining that the microphone is in the busy state, switching a voice mode from a directly-speak automatic stop determination mode to the operate-to-speak stop determination mode. Before the user executes the operation of activating the operate-to-speak stop determination mode, the voice mode is in the directly-speak automatic stop determination mode if the microphone is in the busy state.

  • Patent number: 9674086
Abstract: A work conserving scheduler can be implemented based on a ranking system to provide the scalability of time stamps while avoiding the fast search associated with a traditional time stamp implementation. Each queue can be assigned a time stamp that is initially set to zero. The time stamp for a queue can be incremented each time a data packet from the queue is processed. To provide varying weights to the different queues, the time stamp for the queues can be incremented at varying rates. The data packets can be processed from the queues based on the tier rank order of the queues as determined from the time stamp associated with each queue. To increase the speed at which the ranking is determined, the ranking can be calculate from a subset of the bits defining the time stamp rather than the entire bit set.
