  • Patent number: 7869468
Abstract: A system and method are provided for transporting a serial stream via a lower speed network using multiple parallel paths. At a transmitter, an optical or electromagnetic waveform is accepted representing a serial stream of digital information, and unbundled into n virtual information streams. Each virtual information stream is divided into a sequence of segments. Each segment is encapsulated, creating a sequence of packets by adding a start indicator to the beginning of each segment, and a terminate indicator to the end of each segment. Each packet is disinterleaved across m lanes and reinterleaved into n branches of framed data. Optical or electromagnetic waveforms representing the framed data are transmitted via n network branches. A receiver is also provided, which essentially reverses the above-described transmission method.

  • Patent number: 7870509
Abstract: The visibility of a treemap is improved by offsetting the area of a parent node relative to a bounding box containing all of its child nodes while constructing the treemap, so that a part of the bounding box lies outside the area of the parent node, and the area of each child node in the bounding box is located entirely or partially within the area of the parent node. The present invention highlights the parent-child relationships in the treemap with a cascading effect to make the structural information therein more apparent and easier to recognize.

  • Patent number: 7870378
Abstract: A boot up method makes an electronic system boot up by a processor according to a boot code in a NAND flash memory and includes the following steps. First, the flash memory storing a boot code or boot codes is provided. Next, a first boot code is copied to an XIP memory in response to a hardware reset signal. Then, the processor executes the first boot code in the XIP memory and thus makes the system boot up. Next, whether the system boots up successfully is judged after a time delay. When the system fails to boot up, the system is reset and a second boot code is copied to the XIP memory. Thereafter, the processor executes the second boot code in the XIP memory and thus boots up the system. If the system still fails to boot up, the above-mentioned steps are repeated until the system boots up successfully.

  • Patent number: 7870566
Abstract: To integrate a parent application and a child application, the parent application receives events through a user interface. If the events are to be processed by the child application, they are propagated to the child application. The child application generates content data based on the received events, writes the content data into a storage module, and then notifies the parent application. The parent application reads out the content data written in the storage module.

  • Publication number: 20110003425
Abstract: Dichlorosilane and diborane are deposited on the titanium-based alloy film to grow a p+ type back surface field film. The temperature is raised to grow a p? type light-soaking film on the p+ type back surface field film. Phosphine is deposited on the p? type light-soaking film to form an n+ type emitter. Thus, an n+-p?-p+ laminate is provided on the titanium-based alloy film. SiCNO:Ar plasma is used to passivate the n+-p?-p+ laminate, thus forming an anti-reflection film of SiCN/SiO2 on the n+ type emitter. The n+-p?-p+ laminate is etched in a patterned mask process. A p? type ohmic contact is formed on the titanium-based alloy film. The anti-reflection film is etched in a patterned mask process. The n+ type emitter is coated with a titanium/palladium/silver alloy film that is annealed in hydrogen. An n? type ohmic contact is formed on the n+ type emitter.

  • Publication number: 20110003703
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to a methods and systems for nucleic acid detection using enzymatic reactions on a microarray. In one embodiment, a probe comprising a probe nucleotide sequence and a substantially homogenous sequence extender portion is provided on the surface of a microarray. The probe nucleotide sequence is hybridized to the complementary target nucleotide sequence. A solution containing enzymes and detection elements is applied to the hybridized probe structure. The enzyme determines the composition of the nucleotide structure of the extender and creates a complementary homogenous sequence extender structure between the target nucleotide sequence and the microarray surface structure. The detection elements in the solution are bound to the extender structure, thus allowing detection using an appropriate detector system.
