  • Patent number: 9274966
Abstract: Example implementations described herein are related to methods for dynamically throttling host commands (up or down) to disk drives that include cache memory and rotating media, based on environmental conditions and/or drain rate from the cache memory to the rotating media, to provide consistent throughput for extended periods of time, and to avoid dramatic swings in performance from the pre-saturation state to the post-saturation state. The example implementations may be further extended to dynamically throttling host commands to devices that have HDD and SSD portions.

  • Patent number: 9275123
Abstract: For replicating a source storage system, a scan module generates a source storage server description for each source storage server of the source storage system from a scan of the source storage system. The source storage server description includes a replication type and a source volume record for each source logical volume of the source storage server. A provision module determines a number of replicated instances of each source logical volume for a target storage system from the replication type. In addition the provision module generates a target storage server description for each target storage server of the target storage system from each source storage server description in response to the target storage system satisfying a target storage requirement.

  • Patent number: 9276769
Abstract: A device having circuit bundles and a method of configuring the network device to provide resiliency and protection for network circuits. A circuit bundle provides the ability to group multiple circuits of the same type for resiliency/protection. There is an active virtual circuit that is selected based on a user configured priority value defining priority for carrying circuit traffic. When the active virtual circuit fails, alternative virtual circuits are selected to carry the circuit traffic, again based on user configured priority. Virtual circuits included in the circuit bundle can have different destinations, and include at least multipoint virtual circuits.

  • Publication number: 20160056111
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide hydrogen-free dielectric films and methods of fabrication. A hydrogen-free precursor, such as tetraisocyanatosilane, and hydrogen-free reactants, such as nitrogen, oxygen (O2/O3) and nitrous oxide are used with chemical vapor deposition processes (PECVD, thermal CVD, SACVD, HDP CVD, and PE and Thermal ALD) to create hydrogen-free dielectric films. In some embodiments, there are multilayer dielectric films with sublayers of various materials such as silicon oxide, silicon nitride, and silicon oxynitride. In embodiments, the hydrogen-free reactants may include Tetra Isocyanato Silane, along with a hydrogen-free gas including, but not limited to, N2, O2, O3, N2O, CO2, CO and a combination thereof of these H-Free gases. Plasma may be used to enhance the reaction between the TICS and the other H-free gasses. The plasma may be controlled during film deposition to achieve variable density within each sublayer of the films.

  • Publication number: 20160055499
Abstract: A computer system constructs a robust recipient profile. The system receives data associated with recipient digital interactions from, e.g., streaming and/or batch sources. The recipient data may include digital transactional data, social media data, or other recipient-specific information. The system may employ heuristic data ingestion processing to derive further data based on the data inputs and attributization, and thereby may develop a robust recipient profile by aggregating the processed and derived data. The system may implement production rules to determine recipient-specific custom metadata based on the robust recipient profile to transmit to the recipient.

  • Publication number: 20160052651
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for use of a fill on demand ampoule are disclosed. The fill on demand ampoule may refill an ampoule with precursor concurrent with the performance of other deposition processes. The fill on demand may keep the level of precursor within the ampoule at a relatively constant level. The level may be calculated to result in an optimum head volume. The fill on demand may also keep the precursor at a temperature near that of an optimum precursor temperature. The fill on demand may occur during parts of the deposition process where the agitation of the precursor due to the filling of the ampoule with the precursor minimally effects the substrate deposition. Substrate throughput may be increased through the use of fill on demand.

  • Publication number: 20160051087
Abstract: A grilling oven for foodstuffs comprising an oven casing having rows of apertures/gaps in the lower section uniformly facing various directions. The grilling oven has three layers disposed apart from each other by the supporting bars attached to the plates/grids in the bottom-to-the-top order. The plates/grids include the plate/grid containing the burning materials, the plate/grid is used to scatter and increase the heat and prevent the fat and nutritious juices from overflowing to the burning materials, the plate/grid containing the foodstuff to be grilled. These plates/grids and supporting bars are removable from the oven casing since the diameters of the plates/grids are smaller than the internal diameter of the oven wall. The oven cover has various rows of ventilation holes disposed uniformly throughout the cover to adjust and guide—distribute the heat in contact with the foodstuff more uniformly so that the foodstuff will not be burnt out.

  • Publication number: 20160056993
Abstract: A method, system, and/or computer program product establishes and utilizes a tenant-specific log for events related to a cloud-based service. A metamodel is created for a cloud-based service running on a cloud. The cloud-based service is provided to a specific tenant of the cloud, and the metamodel describes types of resources, on the cloud, that are providing the cloud-based service for the specific tenant. The metamodel is appended to the cloud-based service. In response to the cloud-based service being executed for the specific tenant of the cloud, the metamodel is used to identify a set of resources that are actually providing the cloud-based service for the specific tenant. A tenant-specific log for events related to the cloud-based service is established, where the tenant-specific log tracks events that occur on each actual resource on the cloud that provides the cloud-based service to the specific tenant. The tenant-specific log is then retrieved.

  • Publication number: 20160052914
Abstract: The invention provides rationally designed multi-targeting therapeutic agents for myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1), an incurable neuromuscular disease that originates in an abnormal expansion of CTG repeats (CTGexp) in the DMPK gene. The rationally designed small molecules target the DM1 pathobiology in three distinct ways: (1) binding the expanded trinucleotide repeat, CTGexp, and inhibiting its transcription to the toxic CUGexp RNA, (2) binding the CUGexp RNA and releasing sequestered muscleblind-like protein (MBNL1), and (3) cleaving the toxic CUGexp in an RNase-like manner. Importantly, the compounds can reduce the levels of CUGexp in DM1 model cells and reverse two separate CUGexp-induced phenotypes of DM1.
