  • Publication number: 20240091014
Abstract: An arthroplasty system may include an arthroplasty prosthesis with a joint-facing side having an articular surface and a bone-facing side having a prosthesis attachment feature, a bone anchoring component, and a component attachment feature configured to translatably couple the bone anchoring component to the prosthesis attachment feature. In a first unlocked configuration, the component attachment feature and the prosthesis attachment feature may be translatably coupled with each other enabling the bone anchoring component to translatably move with respect to the bone-facing side of the arthroplasty prosthesis. In a second locked configuration, at least one of the component attachment feature and the prosthesis attachment feature may expand and secure a relative position of the component attachment feature to the prosthesis attachment feature and prevent the bone anchoring component from translatably moving relative to the bone-facing side of the arthroplasty prosthesis.

  • Publication number: 20240094942
Abstract: A request to perform a data operation associated with at least one memory unit in a plurality of memory units of a memory device is received. The at least one memory unit includes a first group of memory cells, each memory cell supporting a specified number of charge levels such that each memory cell having the specified charge level represents a non-integer number of bits. The first group of memory cells represents a first sequence of bits based on a first sequence of charge levels formed by the first group of memory cells. The data operation is performed with respect to the at least one memory unit based on a mapping stored on the system. The mapping assigns an individual sequence of charge levels from an individual group cell to an individual sequence of bits represented by the individual group of memory cells.

  • Patent number: 11934370
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to implement an indexing engine that maintains an index in an index store for a storage object in a data store. In embodiments, the index store may be implemented using an in-memory storage cluster separate from the data store. The storage object may have multiple indexes, which may have different filtering or sorting criteria for the data. In embodiments, updates to the storage object are received as an update stream by the indexing engine. Based on configurable indexing rules, the indexing engine applies the updates to the appropriate indexes. To service a query to the data store, a query engine first retrieves a set of keys satisfying the query from the index store, and then data corresponding to the keys from the data store or another index. In embodiments, the index may be refreshed via touch updates of selected data in the storage object.

  • Patent number: 11936185
Abstract: Systems and methods for Energy Storage-based Packetized Delivery of Electricity (ES-PDE) are disclosed that are radically different from the operation of today's grid. Using ES-PDE, the loads are powered by the energy storage systems (ESS) the majority of the time and only receive packets of electricity periodically to charge the ESSs. Therefore, the grid operators can schedule the delivery of electricity packets to utilize the existing grid infrastructure. Since the customers are powered by the co-located ESSs they are not impacted by the grid operation in short term. Therefore, when grid outages occur, the customers still have power for some time, giving the grid more time to be fully restored.

  • Patent number: 11935638
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods are provided to securely and wirelessly connect a medical device to a controller or smartphone with medical device control app, and to wirelessly connect the controller or smartphone with medical device control app to other devices providing additional integrated disease management (IDM) functions. At least two different wireless communication protocols are used depending on level of security needed, with greater security needed for exchange of medical device control operation commands and related data between the medical device and its controller or smartphone with medical device control app to avoid nefarious or unintended changes in medical device control. Exchanges of historical data or notifications relating to the medical device and requiring less security can be transmitted to the controller and/or the smartphone or other IDM devices using a different and more commonly used wireless communication protocol that may afford less security.
