    Abstract: An air curtain containment system and assembly for data centers forms an air curtain over the server cabinets thereby separating hot air in a hot aisle from cool ambient air. The air curtain containment system includes ducts which include a hot air intake section that receives hot air discharged from servers, which are disposed in server cabinets. The ducts include heat exchangers for cooling the hot air and at least one air curtain discharge section. A housing is coupled to a wall of the ducts, and includes a cooling edge device fan. The cooling edge device fan is disposed along the ducts, and is configured to draw the hot air for cooling through the heat exchangers. An air curtain fan assembly is disposed along the ducts. The air curtain fan assembly expels cold air through the air curtain discharge section, and thereby forms an air curtain over the server cabinets.

    Abstract: Techniques are described for transaction-based read and write operations in a distributed system. In an embodiment, an authorization protocol overlaid onto a transaction to control access to each of the data pools. Using the techniques described herein, the DTRS provides authorization mechanism to ensure that the entity, which hosts the data pool, may only access the data set from an originating entity based at least upon the access rules of the originating entity set for the data set. Additionally, the DTRS's read/write transactions keep the data pools of the DTRS in synch with each other, so each data pool stores the same data sets as another data pool of the DTRS. When a data integrity service of an entity generates a new data entry from a user transaction with a client application, a new write request is generated for the DTRS to which the data integrity service belongs.

    Abstract: Introduced herein is a program counter advancing technique that uses NOP padding without its limitations. During a build process, the introduced technique removes EOG markers for instruction groups that are immediately followed by the NOP instructions that are immediately followed by an instruction group beginning at a start of a cache line. As such, during an execution process, when the processing unit detects an absence of an EOG marker in the requested instruction group, it knows that a group of NOP instructions are about to follow and skips over them by directly advancing the program counter to a start of a subsequent cache line where the next instruction group starts. In addition to the presence of an EOG marker, the introduced technique also takes into account whether the requested instruction group is a straddling group when advancing the program counter to a start of the subsequent cache line.

The UE selects resources for a future transmission from a resource pool that is based on the sensed received sidelink communications. The UE also sends the future transmission on the selected resources. Limiting sensing may result from reducing a maximum distance between reservations to less than 32 logical slots. Limiting sensing may be sensing with a reduced sensing duty cycle with discontinuous sensing or sensing for a period of time in response to a trigger. The UE may perform partial sensing for periodic traffic, and limit sensing for aperiodic traffic.
