  • Publication number: 20200334352
Abstract: A password input and identification system includes a one-button password input component and a controller. The one-button password input component generates a series of trigger signals in response to a series of triggers that correspond to a series of user-input digits. The controller determines a value of each of the user-input digits by counting a number of the trigger signal(s) that correspond(s) to the user-input digit to serve as the value of the user-input digit. The controller compares the user-input digits with the predetermined password after the input of the user-input digits is finished, and performs a predetermined action when the user-input digits match the predetermined password.

  • Publication number: 20200333960
Abstract: A method for suppressing data mirroring between a primary storage system and a secondary storage system is disclosed. In one embodiment, such a method includes defining a data class with an attribute designed to suppress mirroring of data from a primary storage system to a secondary storage system. The method assigns a data set to the data class, thereby causing the data set to inherit the attribute. In certain embodiments, assigning the data set to the data class includes recording the attribute in one or more of a volume-table-of-contents (VTOC) and a catalog used to reference the data set. The method automatically suppresses mirroring of the data set from the primary storage system to the secondary storage system in accordance with the assigned attribute. A corresponding system and computer program product are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20200336707
Abstract: An industrial visualization system generates and delivers virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) presentations of industrial facilities to wearable appliances to facilitate remote or enhanced interaction with automation systems within the facility. VR presentations can comprise three-dimensional (3D) holographic views of a plant facility or a location within a plant facility. The system can selectively render a scaled down view that renders the facility as a 3D scale model, or as a first-person view that renders the facility as a full-scale rendition that simulates the user's presence on the plant floor. Camera icons rendered in the VR presentation can be selected to switch to a live video stream generated by 360-degree cameras within the plant. The system can also render workflow presentations that guide users through the process of correcting detected maintenance issues.

  • Publication number: 20200334528
Abstract: Systems and methods for classifying a test object are provided. For each respective target object in a plurality of target objects, a first procedure is performed comprising (a) posing the test object against the respective target thereby obtaining an interaction between the test and target, and (b) scoring the interaction with a first classifier. Each such score across the plurality of targets forms a test vector that is inputted into a second classifier thereby obtaining an indication of a target object. The second classifier is trained on training vectors, each being the output from instances of the first classifier after inputting a corresponding training object in a plurality of training objects in accordance with the first procedure. Each object in one subset of the training objects is uniquely associated with one of the targets. Another subset of the training objects is not associated with the targets.

  • Publication number: 20200336472
Abstract: Media, method, and system for providing encryption key management for international data residency. Organizations using a group-based communication system can designate a particular geopolitical area where that organization's data can be stored and another geopolitical area (which may be the same or different) where encryption keys used to encrypt and decrypt that data should be stored. Users of that organization can post message or access messages previously posted on the group-based communication system from any geopolitical area, causing the system to automatically store and retrieve messages and encryption keys from the appropriate regions to allow the users to transparently access the group-based communication system while maintaining security and data residency requirements.

  • Publication number: 20200330628
Abstract: Methods and systems for treating a biological fluid with light are disclosed. The methods and systems provide for determining a target light dose for the biological fluid; loading a treatment container holding the biological fluid into an irradiation chamber of an irradiation device comprising: with the treatment container being supported in the irradiation device in between a first array of light sources and first light energy sensors and a second light energy sensor. The first array of light sources is activated, and a first light intensity is measured with the first light energy sensors. A second light intensity is measured with the second light energy sensor, and the first light intensity is compared to the second light intensity to determine an attenuation factor. The attenuation factor is applied to the first light intensity to determine a time to achieve the target light dose, with the first array of multiple light sources being deactivated after the time to achieve the target light dose has elapsed.

  • Publication number: 20200330296
Abstract: Provided is a moving vehicle which enables a user to easily recognize that the moving vehicle is stopped due to the user's own clothing or the like being determined as an object, thereby enabling the user to cancel the stopped state and return to a moving state. A moving vehicle on which a person rides and which stops moving if the distance to an object is equal to or less than a first predetermined value, said moving vehicle comprising: a sensor (124) for detecting the distance; a determiner (125) for determining, if the distance is equal to or less than a second predetermined value smaller than the first predetermined value, a state in which the field of view of the sensor (124) is blocked due to the clothing covering the sensor (124); and a notifier (128) that, if said state is determined by the determiner (125), issues a notification.

  • Patent number: 10812386
Abstract: A network is configured to utilize available bandwidth to conduct bulk data transfers without substantially affecting the successful transmission of time-sensitive traffic in the network. In order to avoid this interference, the packets carrying data for bulk data transfers are associated with a low priority class such that the routers of the network will preferentially drop these packets over packets associated with the normal traffic of the network. As such, when the normal traffic peaks or there are link failures or equipment failures, the normal traffic is preferentially transmitted over the bulk-transfer traffic and thus the bulk-transfer traffic dynamically adapts to changes in the available bandwidth of the network. Further, to reduce the impact of dropped packets for the bulk-transfer traffic, the packets of the bulk-transfer traffic are encoded at or near the source component using a loss-resistant transport protocol so that the dropped packets can be reproduced at a downstream link.
