Abstract: Input to a device under test (DUT) is reconstructed. For each trigger cycle of a tester in which data is to be input to the DUT stimulus, data is prepared to be placed as stimulus on pins of the DUT. Response information obtained from the DUT during a previous trigger cycle is used to construct formatting information used to adjust a value of the stimulus data. Reconstruction information sufficient to reconstruct the stimulus data is stored. The reconstruction information includes the formatting information. The reconstruction information is used to reconstruct the stimulus data placed on the pins of the device under test.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the manipulation of differential gloss as may be inherent in halftoned images. By selectively applying halftones with anisotropic structure characteristics which are significantly different in orientation while remaining identical in density, a gloss image may be superimposed within an image without the need for special toners or paper. Conventional copier systems will not typically be able to copy such a superimposed gloss image.

On the nebulized area there are provided an outer nozzle plate including tapered apertures and a piezoelectric element electrically coupled to the control panel. Activating the piezoelectric element will vibrate it to sufficiently mix the liquid medicine for developing fluid cavitation in the nebulized area, forms a stream of droplets from small particles of the fluid medicine and ejects the same therefrom, condenses the large particles of the fluid medicine due to collision therebetween, and drops the condensed liquid into the fluid medicine. Also, any malfunctioned component can be replaced individually.

Abstract: A system for reducing written-in high-frequency repeatable run-out track mis-registration occurring during writing of servo information onto a hard disk implementable in a hard disk drive is described. The system includes an excitation frequency adjuster enabled to adjust excitation frequencies away from mechanical modes to provide desired rotation speed of a servo track writer. The mechanical modes are present in said hard disk drive. The system also includes an excitation level adjuster enabled to adjust excitation level to provide a desired DC gain level associated with a motor controller of the servo track writer. The system further includes an excitation frequency content adjuster enabled to adjust excitation frequency content to provide desired current profile of the motor controller, such that a reduction of written-in high frequency repeatable run-out track mis-registration is realized.

Another method is provided for facilitating compliance with wireless communication regulations for a plurality of regulatory domains. The method includes using a common channel as a communication channel for a wireless communication device when joining or creating an ad hoc network, wherein the common channel is common to the plurality of regulatory domains.

Abstract: An active device array substrate comprising a substrate, a plurality of scan lines, a plurality of data lines and a plurality of active devices is provided. The scan lines, the data lines, and the active devices are disposed on the substrate. Each of the active devices is connected to one of the scan lines and one of the data lines and the surfaces of the active devices are not parallel to the surface of the substrate. Because surfaces of the active devices incline to the surface of the substrate, the projection areas of non-transparency of the active devices on the surface of the substrate could be reduced. Moreover, this active device array substrate could be applied to a liquid crystal display panel and other active matrix flat panel display to obtain a better pixel aperture.

Abstract: A low pressure anion chromatography apparatus that includes a first eluent reservoir that contains a first eluent, a second eluent reservoir that contains a second eluent, and a valve for switching flow between the first and the second eluent reservoirs. The low pressure anion chromatography apparatus also has a low pressure pump, an injector, an anion exchange column, and a detector. The low pressure pump, the injector, the anion exchange column, the detector and the first and second eluent reservoirs are in fluid communication with one another through a series of fluid conduits. A method of using the low pressure anion chromatography apparatus is also provided. The use of two or more eluents allows for a broader range of anions to be detected with a relatively inexpensive low pressure chromatography system.

A terahertz radiation source is described, comprising: an emitter (202) comprising a semiconductor material (12); a pair of electrodes (204a,b) adjacent a face of said semiconductor, said pair of electrodes defining a gap between said electrodes; a pulsed light source input for illuminating said semiconductor to excite photo-carriers in said semiconductor to generate terahertz radiation; and a radiation collector (212) to collect said terahertz radiation; and wherein said radiation collector is disposed on the same side of said semiconductor as said electrodes. A related method of providing terahertz radiation is also described.

The present invention achieves playing both audio files and video files with an excellent effect, irrespective of whether the local facilities have corresponding functions of playing audio or video files.
