  • Patent number: 6993729
Abstract: A statement in at least one hardware definition language (HDL) file specifies a plurality of design entities representing a functional portion of a digital system. The plurality of design entities have an associated plurality of configuration latches each having a plurality of different possible latch values, where different sets of latch values for the plurality of configuration latches correspond to different configurations of the functional portion of the digital system. With a statement in the at least one HDL file, a Dial group entity is associated with one of the plurality of design entities. The Dial group entity has a Dial list listing a plurality of Dial entities whose settings collectively control which set of latch values is loaded into the plurality of configuration latches. Membership in the Dial group constrains all instances of the plurality of Dial entities belonging to a particular instance of the Dial group to be set as a group.

  • Publication number: 20060017702
Abstract: A touch control type character input method is to utilize a control module for identifying moving loci created by an object moving on a hand writing board so as to be used during subsequent input. A plurality of vectors, which move in different directions, are combined and a parameter data collection is defined in the control module. When the object contacts the hand writing board, the position of the hand writing board being first touched is detected and assigned as the initial position. Then, a moving locus generated on the hand writing board is determined if it is effective and the moving locus is disassembled as at least a moving vector in case of being effective and is removed in case of being ineffective. The obtained moving vectors are combined and analyzed and compared with the parameter data collection defined in the control module.

  • Publication number: 20060017008
Abstract: A method for photochemical reactor characterization includes an application of using dyed microspheres exposed to UV irradiation under a collimated-beam system. Particle specific fluorescence intensity measurements are conducted using samples form the collimated beam and flow-through reactor results using flow cytometry. A numerical model may be used to simulate the behavior of the reactor system to provide a particle-tracking algorithm to interrogate the flow and intensity field simulations for purposes of developing a particle specific estimate of the dose delivery. A method for measuring UV dose distribution delivery in photochemical reactors is provided that includes introducing microspheres labeled with a photochemically-active compound in a UV reactor, The labeled microspheres are harvested downstream of the irradiated zone of a UV reactor and exposed to UV irradiation under a collimated beam of UV irradiation.

  • Publication number: 20060019628
Abstract: The current-folded mixer of this invention comprises an input stage and a switching stage. The input stage receives a radio frequency input RF and generates a modulated bias current to the switching stage. The switching stage has a switching pair, connected to a common node, to receive an input signal and said modulated bias current to generate an output signal in accordance with the input signal and the modulated bias current. The current-folded mixer uses a capacitor to separate the bias current of the input stage and the switching stage and an inductor in the switching stage to supply bias current.
