  • Publication number: 20060029620
Abstract: The present invention is about a mycobacterium smegmatis vaccine, a split product of mycobacterium smegmatis. This vaccine has made good use of the adjuvant function of bacterial cellwall and antigenic specificity of tropina which can stimulate the production of cytokine and consists of many immunologically competent CpG fragments of bacteria DNA. Such vaccine is prepared by treating newly-cultured thalli with a physical quassation technique. This vaccine is capable of enhancing normal immune function against TB, promoting the recovery of normal immune function in TB patients with hypofunction, and depressing the immunological responses in TB patients with hyperfunction. It is especially effective in the prevention and treatment of MTB carriers.

  • Patent number: 6995045
Abstract: The thin film transistor has a non-transparent structure besides and insulated with the gate. Hence, the light transmitted from the substrate is blocked and the light current induced in the thin film transistor is negligible. The method uses a mask with a slit pattern to form a non-uniform photoresist. Hence, the mask could be used to pattern two conductor layers for forming source/drain/channel.

  • Patent number: 6993946
Abstract: A lock includes an inside handle, an outside handle, and a body between the handles. A spindle is mounted to each handle to turn therewith. Two pivotable wheels are mounted in the case and operably connected to the inside and outside spindles and a latch bolt such that turning of either handle causes retraction of the latch bolt. One of the wheels engaging with the outside spindle includes a notch communicated with a through-hole of the wheel. A lever extends through the notch of the wheel and includes an end in the through-hole of the notched wheel. When a locking plug is moved to a blocking position, the end of the lever sways to move the outside spindle out of the through-hole of the notched wheel such that the outside handle turns idly when the outside handle is turned.

  • Publication number: 20060023962
Abstract: A method for encoding images according to object shapes is provided. The method enables reduced usage of storage space when an image encoding system encodes a received image frame. The method uses a bottom-up and sequential approach for encoding coefficients. The coefficients in each subband are numbered using a tree structure, wherein level N subband is designated as a root of the whole tree, level (N?1) subbands are designated as roots of subtrees, and level (N=1) subbands are designated as terminal nodes of subtrees. The terminal nodes for one of the subtrees are numbered first, and then this subtree is numbered in the bottom-up sequence. After that, the terminal nodes for another substree are numbered, and this numbering sequence continues to number all the other subtrees until the root of the tree has been numbered, so as to allow a bottom-up encoding process for the coefficient to be performed.
