  • Patent number: 9256570
Abstract: This disclosure describes a circuit implementation providing the functions necessary to implement an isolated I2C bidirectional port. The technique implements a current source as a pull up device on at least one side of the isolation system. The circuit manages and communicates bidirectional data across an isolation barrier. A method of communicating bidirectional signals and an I2C acknowledge (ACK) or clock stretching through an isolation channel is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20150361199
Abstract: A process for the preparation of a polyolefin in a slurry loop reactor provided with settling legs may include introducing olefin reactants, diluents, and polymerization catalyst into the reactor while circulating. The process may include polymerizing the olefin reactants to produce a slurry, continuously withdrawing the slurry, via the settling legs, and transferring withdrawn solid olefin polymer particles to a recovery section. Each settling leg may have an inlet connected to the reactor and an outlet connected to the recovery section. At least one settling leg is continuously open, allowing continuous withdrawal of slurry. Each outlet of the settling legs may be connected to the recovery section by a conduit provided with a pressure control device. The pressure in the reactor may be controlled by operating the pressure control device.

  • Patent number: 8890808
Abstract: In graphical computing environments, applications are often presented as windows and other regions with visual controls that enable standardized region management functions, including repositioning the regions. However, in some scenarios (particularly devices with small displays), such user interface “chrome” may undesirable diminish the size of the region devoted to the output of the application, and removing such visual controls without eliminating repositioning functionality may be advantageous. Presented herein are repositioning gestures that may be invoked to request repositioning of a selected region by “hovering” a pointer near an edge of the display that is near the selected region; optionally by activating the pointer; and by moving the pointer away from the edge of the display (e.g., “dragging” the pointer while depressing a mouse button).

  • Patent number: 8822622
Abstract: The invention is directed to coating compositions comprising A) at least one hydroxyl-functional and optionally acid-functional binder, preferably with an acid number of 0 to 150 mg KOH/g binder solids, B) at least one polyisocyanate curing agent with free isocyanate groups, C) at least one thermally latent tetrahydrocarbyl tin catalyst of general formula (I) RnR?4-nSn??(I) wherein R is an alkyl group, R? is an aryl, arylalkyl or alkenyl group and n is 1, 2 or 3, and D) optionally at least one acid-functional compound, that is different from component A), with the proviso that the acid number of a composition, consisting of the at least one binder A) and optionally of the at least one acid-functional compound D), has an acid number of at least 5 mg KOH/g solids, preferably of least 10 mg KOH/g solids, and to a process for coating substrates comprising the steps: I) applying the coating composition to an optionally pre-coated substrate, and II) curing the applied coating composition by means of thermal ene

  • Patent number: 8559661
Abstract: A sound system comprises at least three audio driver arrangements (101, 103, 105) for emitting audio signals. The audio driver arrangements (101, 103, 105) are angled relative to each other to emit sound signals in different directions angled at least 45° apart. A driving unit (201, 203, 205) is provided for each audio driver arrangement (101, 103, 105) to generate a drive signal. The audio driver arrangements (103, 105) angled most relative to each other are arranged to emit audio signals being between 90° and 270° out of phase. The driving arrangement (201) for the third audio driver arrangement (101) has a varying phase response with a variation resulting in the emitted audio signal varying between a first phase interval proximal the signal emitted from a first of the other audio driver arrangements (103) and a second phase interval proximal to the signal emitted from the second of the other audio driver arrangements (105). The invention may e.g.
