  • Publication number: 20160243335
Abstract: A catheter has a distal assembly with at least one loop, if not two, with ring electrodes. The distal assembly has an elongated support member covered by an extruded form having two lumens, one sized for nonslip tight fit with the support member. A single continuous puller wire for bidirectional deflection is pre-bent into two long portions and a U-shape bend therebetween. The U-shape bend is anchored at a distal end of a deflectable section which is reinforced by at least one washer having at least two holes, each hole axially aligned with a respective lumen in the deflectable section. Each hole is centered with a lumen so that each puller wire portion therethrough is straight and subjected to tensile force only. A proximal end of the support member is flattened and serrated to provide a better bonding to the distal end of the deflectable section.

  • Patent number: 9327079
Abstract: A quality control method or system for determining a lubricant coverage at the inside surface of a syringe barrel is provided. The timing for the quality control is not intuitive, yet crucial for patient's safety. The pre-fill test is for a pre-filled (empty or no drug solution), yet oil lubricated, barrel. This pre-fill test needs to be performed within a certain time window immediately following the lubrication. The post-fill test is for a post-filled oil lubricated syringe barrel filled with a solution. This post-fill test needs to be performed after a certain time window has passed from the filling with the solution. The quality control methods could lead to a reduction of health-risks or avoid life-threatening situations associated with syringes that are either below or above the desired lubrication coverage.

  • Publication number: 20160099714
Abstract: Presented are systems and methods that allow hardware designers to protect valuable IP and information in the hardware domain in order to increase overall system security. In various embodiments of the invention this is accomplished by configuring logic gates of existing logic circuitry based on a key input. In certain embodiments, a logic function provides results that are dependent not only on input values but also on an encrypted logic key that determines connections for a given logic building block, such that the functionality of the logic function cannot be determined by reverse engineering. In some embodiments, the logic key is created by decrypting a piece of data using a secret decryption key. Advantages of automatic encryption include that existing circuitry need not be re-implemented or re-built, and that the systems and methods presented are backward compatible with standard manufacturing tools.

  • Publication number: 20160065611
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for detecting anomalies in DNS requests comprises receiving a plurality of DNS requests generated within a predetermined period. The predetermined period includes a plurality of DNS data fragments. The method further includes receiving a first DNS request and selecting a plurality of second DNS requests from the plurality of DNS requests such that each of the second DNS requests is a subset of the first DNS request. The method also includes calculating a count value for each of the DNS data fragments, where each of the count values represents a number of instances the second DNS requests appear within one of the DNS data fragments. In some embodiments, the count values for each of the DNS data fragments can be normalized. The method further includes determining an anomaly trend, for example, based on determining that at least one of the count values exceeds a predetermined threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20160065597
Abstract: The disclosure is related to computer-implemented methods for domain name scoring. In one example, the method includes receiving a request to provide a reputation score of a domain name, receiving input data associated with the domain name, extracting a plurality of features from the input data and the domain name, generating a feature vector based on the plurality of features, and calculating the reputation score of the domain name by a machine-learning classifier based on a graph database, which includes feature vectors associated with at least a plurality of reference domain names, a plurality of servers, a plurality of domain name owners, and so forth. In another example, the method can calculate the reputation score by finding a similarity between the feature vector and one of domain name clusters in the graph database. The reputation score represents a probability that the domain name is associated with malicious activity.
