    Abstract: An image processing apparatus for reconstructing an image frame including multiple image segments is provided. The multiple image segments are converted to a bitstream through entropy encoding. The image processing apparatus includes a shared storage region, a first processor and a second processor. The first processor performs entropy decoding on the bitstream to generate a set of first symbols, reconstructs a first image segment according to the set of first symbols, and stores the reconstructed first image segment into the shared storage region. The second processor also performs entropy decoding on the bitstream to generate a set of second symbols, obtains the part of the reconstructed image segment that is associated with a second image segment, and reconstructs the second image segment according to the set of second symbols and the obtained part of the first image segment.

    Abstract: Disclosed aspects relate to access point selection. A set of beacon frame transmission data for a set of access points may be collected by a computing device. The beacon frame transmission data may include first and second subsets indicating respective frame success rates. The computing device may compare factors derived utilizing the respective frame success rates. The computing device may evaluate network capability data for the access points. The computing device may weight the beacon frame transmission data with respect to information indicating network security and encryption level have heavier weights than other factors, and identify that the first access point achieves an encryption level threshold. The computing device may use the beacon frame transmission data for the set of access points to determine to establish a connection utilizing the first access point. The computing device may establish the connection utilizing the first access point.

    Abstract: An edible structure may comprise a gelatin film and fiber strips. The gelatin film may have a higher density of gelatin in a first layer of the film than in a second layer of the film. The fiber strips may be attached to the first layer, and may have an initial orientation, thickness and density. The structure may be configured to undergo a shape transformation when the apparatus hydrates. During the transformation, the film may transform from a flat film into a curved, 3D film. Which specific shape results from the transformation may depend, at least in part, on the initial orientation, thickness and density of the fiber strips. The film may include flavorings or other additives. In some cases, the transformation may change a texture of the structure. In some cases, the transformation may be caused, at least in part, by a change in temperature.

    Abstract: A composite film includes a substrate that is not responsive to relative humidity, and also one or more layers of hygromorphic material. The hygromorphic material expands in response to an increase in relative humidity and contracts in response to a decrease in relative humidity. In some cases, the composite film is bi-layer or tri-layer. The composite films are fabricated such that they undergo a desired bending pattern in response to changes in relative humidity. In some cases, these bending patterns are combinations of two bending primitives: a smooth curve and a sharply angled curve. These two primitives are combined to create a variety of shape transformations including 1D linear transformation, 2D surface expansion and contraction, 2.5D texture change and 3D folding. Any type of hygromorphic material may be employed, including living gram positive and gram negative bacterial cells, yeast cells, plant cells, mammalian cells, cell debris, or hydrogel.

One or more of the metal layers in the integrated circuit layouts may also include metal tracks at different voltages (e.g., power and ground) that are adjacent to each other within a power grid layout.
