    Abstract: An energy-saving circuit for a motherboard includes a connecting circuit, a control circuit, a power circuit, an audio circuit, and a south bridge circuit. The connecting circuit can be connected to a number of audio devices, or may be unconnected to an audio device. A first detecting signal to the control circuit is output by the connecting circuit when an audio device is connected, and a second detecting signal is output by the connecting circuit when no audio device is connected. The power circuit powers the audio circuit according to the first control signal, and provides no power according to the second control signal. The south bridge chip allows audio communication for the first control signal, and prevents audio communication for the second control signal.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides for a method and apparatus for efficient cross-correlation between a reference sequence and a received sequence in a wireless communication system. The reference sequence includes a concatenation of sign-adjusted sub-sequences, the sign adjustments determined by a first sign sequence of a set of sign sequences. For example, the reference sequence may be an alternating concatenation of sign-adjusted Golay complementary pair sub-sequences. The received sequence is shifted to provide a plurality of time shifted sequences that are then cross-correlated with the sub-sequences to form a set of partial cross-correlations. The partial cross-correlations are sign-adjusted using the first sign sequence and combined to produce the cross-correlation between the reference sequence and the received sequence. The cross-correlations so produced may be used for channel signature (e.g. PHY-type) identification and/or channel impulse response estimation.

A pull-down circuit involves four N-channel transistors. This pull-down circuit: 1) couples the QB node to ground when a clock signal CK is high and a data signal D is high, 2) couples the Q node to ground when CK is high and D is low, 3) prevents a transfer of charge between the QB and Q nodes through the pull-down circuit when D transitions during a time period when CK is low, and 4) decouples the QB and Q nodes from the pull-down circuit when CK is low.

The criteria includes a calculation of a smallest eigen value of a frequency channel response matrix and a smallest element of a diagonal of the matrix and a ratio of the largest and smallest eigen values of the matrix.
